| Lord Rabbit is a folk custom symbolizing auspiciousness and a hallmark of Chinese traditional culture.The national emphasis on intangible cultural heritage and the promotion of cultural undertakings have led intangible cultural heritage to gradually enter a new era of dynamic inheritance.A single mode of artistic inheritance is insufficient for better preservation and development,and through research,it has been found that there is still much room for cultural and creative development regarding Lord Rabbit.With the maturity of glass art and its growing social influence,integrating local cultural symbols into glass art is an effective way to promote its contemporary development.Lord Rabbit embodies the characteristics and charm of folk art,possessing profound cultural connotations and a broad popular foundation,and has derived a rich variety of styles in the course of its development.The glass design of Lord Rabbit incorporates the distinctive features of Lord Rabbit into contemporary glass art language while fusing other intangible cultural heritage elements in some aspects.Firstly,a comprehensive analysis of Lord Rabbit’s appearance,color,and expression is conducted,extracting the characteristic elements.Then,the correlation between Lord Rabbit’s clay sculpture and glass art in terms of materials,styles,and coloring is analyzed from a technical perspective,summarizing the connections in their creation.Subsequently,the practical significance of combining Lord Rabbit’s cultural image with glass art is discussed from the perspectives of local cultural dynamic inheritance and the requirements of the times for glass art.Lastly,the characteristic elements of Lord Rabbit are streamlined,and the image is recreated through kiln-casting glass art language and partial integration of intangible cultural heritage velvet flower craftsmanship.By comprehensively examining the above process,modern design methods are applied to the design and development of Lord Rabbit’s cultural image from the perspective of material and craftsmanship,in order to explore the cultural value of various cultural forms and provide a reference and theoretical basis for the modern cultural and creative design of intangible cultural heritage clay sculptures represented by Lord Rabbit. |
