| Industry has a dominant position in the national economy.Promoting industrial green development is the key to balance economic and ecological relations,the direction of realizing supply-side structural reform,and the path we must take to pursue high-quality development.In the context of the construction of unified markets,how to exert the positive influence of market integration on the efficiency of industrial green development has become an important issue discussed by local governments and academic circles.In this regard,the Yangtze River Delta region is selected as the research object.First,the impact of market integration on the efficiency of industrial green development is analyzed from the theoretical level.Second,Second,based on the data of prefecture-level cities from 2009 to 2019,the relative price method and Super-SBM model were used to measure the two core variables of market integration and industrial green development efficiency.Third,the degree and mechanism of the impact of market integration on the efficiency of industrial green development are empirically examined,and the heterogeneity of this impact among cities with different characteristics is discussed.Finally,the spatial spillover effect of market integration on the efficiency of industrial green development in other regions is verified.As a result,the relationship and logic between the two variables were comprehensively revealed.The main conclusions obtained in this article are as follows:(1)During the research period,the degree of market integration and the efficiency of industrial green development in the Yangtze River Delta region were significantly improved,but the growth rate and the current level reached varied greatly between provinces and cities.(2)The results of the fixed effect model show that market integration has a significant positive impact on the efficiency of industrial green development.This positive impact is more pronounced in cities with relatively developed transportation and cities located in the core area of the Yangtze River Delta region.Other control variable coefficients show that the urban economic level has significantly improved the efficiency of industrial green development,while urbanization,industrialization,environmental regulation,and profit margins of industrial enterprises have significantly suppressed the efficiency of industrial green development.This basic conclusion has passed the robustness check.(3)Starting from the dimension of market integration that affects industrial scale,structure and quality,this paper analyzes the mechanism of market integration and industrial green development efficiency,and empirical results show that market integration can play a role in promoting the efficiency of industrial green development through industrial specialization agglomeration,industrial structure optimization and technological innovation.(4)The results of the Spatial Dubin Model show that the positive impact of market integration is limited to improving the local industrial green development efficiency,and has not yet played a positive spatial overflow effect on the industrial green development efficiency of other parts of the Yangtze River Delta region.In response to the results of the research,this article proposes policy implications from the four aspects of promoting industrial green production,strengthening regional linkage infrastructure,optimizing regional industrial layout,and improving innovation-driven mechanisms to provide a reference for exploring industrial green development paths. |
