Rack as a special form of gear is used in machinery,petroleum,aviation,national defense and other industrial fields,and its machining accuracy determines the normal operation of mechanical equipment.With the development of manufacturing industry,the machining accuracy of rack and pinion is gradually improved,so the measurement accuracy and measurement efficiency of rack and pinion are put forward higher and more strict requirements.In order to describe the manufacturing accuracy and performance of the rack more comprehensively and accurately,this paper develops the rack measurement software based on the hardware platform provided by the partner company.In this paper,Firstly,the taper mandrel is designed according to the rack design drawing,and the rack is clamped by using the upper and lower centers of the gear measuring center.On this basis,the zero-point correction scheme,two rack alignment scheme and the axial datum establishment scheme are proposed to establish the correct coordinate system of rack workpiece.The measurement items and error items of the rack are determined with reference to GB/Z10096-2022 "Accuracy of rack" standard and GB/T 10095.1-2022 "Cylindrical gear — ISO system of flank tolerance classification—Part 1: Definitions and allowable values of deviation relevant to flanks of gear teeth" standard,the starting point of tooth profile deviation measurement is calculated based on the meshing principle of the rack,and the measurement path and data acquisition scheme of the probe relative to the rack are planned.Secondly,according to the requirements of the rack measurement software,the main framework of the software is designed,the functional modules of the software are divided,and the overall structure of the software is proposed.The human-machine interface module,the measurement motion control and data acquisition module,the error processing and calculation module,the error curve plotting module,and the error result evaluation module of the rack measurement software are developed based on the GMC400 gear measurement center under the Windows environment using the C++ language and the modular programming idea with Microsoft Visual C++ development tools,the printout of rack inspection report can be realized.Finally,the feasibility and stability of the rack measurement software,the correctness of the error processing algorithm and the accuracy of the measurement are verified by designing relevant experiments.In addition,the alignment of the rack is also studied,the influence of the alignment result on the measurement result is analyzed theoretically,and relevant experiments are designed to verify it.The characteristics of each of the two-point alignment method and the multi-point alignment method are also discussed,and the measurement uncertainty of the two alignment methods is analyzed.The experimental results show that the rack measurement software developed in this paper can accurately measure and evaluate the tooth profile deviation,lead deviation and pitch deviation of the rack,which is an important guideline for the research and analysis of the design and manufacture of high-precision rack,and the measurement software has been commercially applied to engineering.
