Traditional food culture is part of the rich historical resources of a country and region,as well as the historical accumulation of daily lifestyle. In recent years, promoting excellent traditional culture and enhancing cultural confidence has become a new social hotspot, and the state and government have introduced a series of policies on protecting, inheriting and promoting traditional Chinese culture, which shows the importance they attach to the ecological dissemination, inheritance and protection of traditional culture. With the development of economy and technology, the form of cultural experience is constantly changing, and modern innovative products are constantly intervening in the ecological dissemination and development of traditional culture, promoting the ecological balance of traditional culture.Based on cultural ecology theory, this study takes traditional food culture as the research object and uses Gongcheng oil tea as the entry point for traditional food culture, applying cultural ecology theory to explore the new path of cultural ecological development of traditional food and applying it to the design of cultural experiential products. This research focuses on the role of cultural ecology theory in guiding traditional food and cultural experiential products, exploring how the product elements change and unfold in the process of the ecological change and development of traditional food and cultural communication, and using this as the basis for the design of cultural experience products, allowing users to gain food and cultural experiences through the use of the products, and completing the cultural ecological communication and construction of the meaning of traditional food. The research is divided into five parts: firstly,it proposes the adaptive and developmental views of cultural ecology theory, and explores the modern transformation of traditional food culture user needs, purchasing environment and experience mode under cultural ecological changes, and the modern transformation of the development of the communication platform of traditional food culture under cultural ecological communication, and the impact of its transformation on the design of cultural experiential products, based on the four elements of platform, user, experience and product;Secondly,we analyse the types of experiences of traditional food culture using the experience as the base point and the platform and user as the contact points in the cultural ecological cycle model, and collate and refine the design elements and design methods for the modernisation and development of similar types of related products.Next, using Gongcheng oil tea as the entry point for theoretical practice, the cultural ecological changes and development of Gongcheng oil tea,the experience model and existing problems are explored through field surveys and interviews to gain a comprehensive understanding of the basic development of Gongcheng oil tea culture and to seek opportunities for experiential product design.Again, the principles of product design are determined according to the cultural ecological cycle model, and user needs analysis is conducted to identify the experience model and user pain points, which are used as the basis for design practice. Finally, the paper concludes with a summary of the whole paper and a future outlook on the ecological development of traditional food culture and experiential product design. The above is the main line of research and research ideas for the design of the Gongcheng oil tea food culture experience product based on the cultural ecology theory,in the hope that traditional food culture and experiential product design can better participate in daily life, integrate into daily life and create a better and happier life.
