The outbreak of COVID-19 has had a huge negative impact on production and life.The supply and demand of crude oil has been out of balance.The international crude oil price has reached a new low since 2014.The major oil companies in the world have sharply reduced the upstream development expenditure in the face of the disturbance of the epidemic,resulting in a sharp decrease in the workload of the international offshore oil and gas project.Meanwhile,the epidemic has also brought about turbulence in the international political environment.Anti globalization and protectionism have made a comeback,the global economy has been hit hard,the government debt burden has increased,social security has deteriorated rapidly,supply chain interruption and other factors have increased the uncertainty of overseas investment environment.In China,thanks to the effective control of the epidemic and CNOOC’s strategy of increasing oil and gas reserves and production,offshore oil and gas projects have been launched continuously,and the workload of oil and gas projects is full.As a leading enterprise in China’s offshore oil and gas engineering industry,HY company has made great progress in the international offshore engineering market.However,in the long run,if HY want to become a world-class energy engineering company,it must constantly adapt to the changes of the external environment and formulate a business strategy suitable for its own development.Taking the business strategy of HY Company as the research object,on the basis of clarifying the basic situation of HY Company’s current operation and the current situation of industry development,combined with the changes of domestic and foreign political,economic,technical and cultural macro environment,domestic and foreign market environment and industry competitiveness in the post epidemic era,this paper analyzes the advantages,disadvantages and competitiveness of HY Company in the post epidemic era with PEST analysis method,Porter’s five forces model and SWOT analysis Opportunities and threats.Secondly,this paper quantitatively analyzes the impact of domestic and foreign macro environment,market environment and company competitiveness on the company’s business strategy in the post epidemic era by using the internal and external factor evaluation matrix.It is concluded that the main advantage of the company in the foreign market is the strong EPCI general contracting ability,and the main disadvantage is the weak technical ability and equipment ability,resulting in weak bargaining ability and low profit.At the same time,there are fewer opportunities and more threats in foreign markets.The domestic market has obvious advantages and more opportunities.Facing the changes of domestic and foreign business environment,this paper analyzes the problems existing in the company’s business strategy in the post epidemic era by using the comparative method,and believes that the company’s risk prevention and response ability is insufficient,the macro environment and economy have a great disturbance to the company,the key core technical ability such as deepwater equipment is insufficient,the training of talents is lack of targeted planning,the efficiency of market development is low,and the company’s comprehensive operation and management level is insufficient,The business scope is single and the overall competitiveness is not high.In view of the above problems,it is finally proposed that in the post epidemic era,HY Company should improve its risk management and control capabilities such as risk identification and epidemic prevention and control,strive to break the technical blockade and cultivate high-end talents,strengthen deep-water technical capabilities,and lay a foundation for international development.We should strengthen the international project management ability,consolidate the traditional advantageous position,and improve the comprehensive operation management level and comprehensive competitiveness.The research of this paper provides a valuable reference for the business strategy of marine engineering related enterprises in the post epidemic era.
