In recent years,with the rapid development of advanced digital technology,the scale of digital economy has been leaping forward,setting off a worldwide industrial digitization boom.Since the implementation of the major national strategy of "Made in China 2025",the traditional manufacturing industry is facing fierce competition.Manufacturing enterprises must closely follow the economic development trend and national policies,seize the opportunity,and carry out digital transformation.As a leading and benchmarking enterprise in the iron and steel manufacturing industry,Baosteel has actively responded to the national call,seized the development opportunities,formulated transformation and upgrading strategies,explored the path of digital transformation,and built a digital platform.At present,it has achieved relatively significant transformation results,and its corporate performance during the digital transformation has attracted the attention of all parties.Therefore,by sorting out the digital transformation process of Baosteel,analyzing its transformation motivation and path,and evaluating the changes and performance of financial performance and non-financial performance during the transformation period,this paper has certain significance for further consolidating the transformation achievements and optimizing and improving the overall performance of the enterprise.Taking case analysis as the main research method,this paper studies the motivation,path and performance of the digital transformation of Baosteel,and draws relevant conclusions and enlightenment.Firstly,the research status at home and abroad related to digital transformation and enterprise performance is reviewed respectively,and relevant concepts are defined and basic theories are elaborated.Secondly,on the basis of summarizing the current situation of digital transformation of iron and steel manufacturing industry,this paper comprehensively analyzes the process,motivation and specific path of digital transformation of Baosteel.Thirdly,the paper measures the performance changes of Baosteel from financial and non-financial dimensions.The financial index analysis method and factor analysis method were used to make horizontal and vertical comparison of its financial performance from 2011 to 2021.Analyze and evaluate the non-financial performance of enterprises from three dimensions: internal process,learning and growth,and customer service.Finally,the paper puts forward relevant suggestions for the performance improvement of Baosteel digital enabling enterprises,such as streamlining internal processes and controlling enterprise costs;Strengthen control ability,reduce period cost;Optimize the capital structure,strengthen inventory management;Control the scale of liabilities to prevent financial risks;We will increase investment in research and development and promote technological innovation.At the same time,it also summarizes the universal experience enlightenment in the digital transformation case of Baosteel,and promotes its better transformation and development in the future.Through research,this paper believes that the implementation of digital transformation strategy of Baosteel is conducive to its current development,can effectively reduce enterprise costs,improve production efficiency,and promote the overall performance of the enterprise to a certain extent.
