Research On The Influence Of Industry Convergence On Green Total Factor Productivity Of Manufacturing Industry

The Chinese manufacturing industry in more than 40 years after the reform and opening up,ushered in the rapid development,the huge manufacturing industry has given strong support to our national economy development.However,Chinese manufacturing industry has always been a typical industry of high energy consumption,high emission,high pollution,coupled with the Chinese manufacturing industry started late,in the industrial development process of the lack of industrialization,long-term rapid development caused by environmental pollution,waste of resources and other problems become increasingly prominent.With the advent of service economy era,producer services penetrate into every link of manufacturing industry.It can also be found from the industrial development of developed countries in the world that the integrated development of producer service industry and manufacturing industry is an inevitable trend of modern industrial development,which will become an important push for China’s manufacturing industry to achieve healthy and sustainable development and become a "manufacturing power" in the future.Environmental regulation can limit the polluting behaviors of manufacturing enterprises and improve the green ecological efficiency,so the industrial structure adjustment in the future is bound to be under environmental regulation.Therefore,it is of great academic value and application prospect to study the influence of industrial convergence on green total factor productivity of manufacturing industry and the action path of industrial convergence on green total factor productivity of manufacturing industry under environmental regulation.First,based on the review of relevant domestic and foreign literature,this paper analyzes the impact mechanism of industrial integration and environmental regulation on the green total factor productivity of manufacturing industry.Secondly,by constructing the evaluation index system for the integration level of manufacturing and producer services,we respectively measure and analyze the development status of manufacturing and producer services in our country.Based on the measurement results,we measure the industry integration level of provinces and cities(autonomous regions)in our country.Then,the Malmquist index method was used to measure the green total factor productivity of the manufacturing industry.The fixed effect model and threshold effect model were used to empirically analyze the influence and action path of industrial convergence and environmental regulation on the green total factor productivity of the manufacturing industry.Finally,on the basis of the above analysis results,the conclusion and policy suggestions of this paper are put forward to provide reference for the development of Chinese manufacturing green transformation.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)From 2010 to 2019,the overall development level of China’s manufacturing and producer services is relatively stable,showing a trend of fluctuating progress,and there are obvious differences between regions.The development level of the two major industries shows a step-down trend from east to west,that is,eastern region > central region > western region.(2)On the whole,Chinese industrial integration degree from high to low is: The eastern region > the central region > the western region,from east to west,is in the three dimensions of medium level of integration,medium level of integration and low level of integration.The industrial integration is closely related to the development level of the two major industries.The industrial integration level is high only when the development level of manufacturing and service industry is at a high level.(3)During the ten years from 2010 to 2019,the green total factor productivity of manufacturing industry increased at an average growth rate of1.5%,and the average development level was western region > central region > eastern region.(4)Industrial integration has always played a positive role in promoting the green total factor productivity of manufacturing industry,and environmental regulation has a significant single threshold effect.According to the threshold value,environmental regulation is divided into two sections of low intensity and high intensity.With the increase of environmental regulation intensity,the positive role of industrial integration on the green total factor productivity of manufacturing industry also increases.Therefore,under the environment of increasing environmental regulations,further promoting the integrated development of producer services and manufacturing is of great importance to the green total factor productivity of manufacturing industry.
