Since the implementation of the reform and opening up policy, the logistics industry has grown rapidly. However, behind its rapid growth, there are two major problems. One is that the ecological environment is severely damaged;the other is excessive consumption of large amounts of resources.Total factor productivity refers to the economic growth rate minus the remaining part of capital and labor input, reflecting the quality of economic development.Green total factor productivity is based on the measurement of total factor productivity, and the undesired output related to environmental pollution is included in the measured index system. Therefore, how to increase the total factor productivity of green and improve the development of the “quality” of the logistics industry is the key to the sustainable development of China’s logistics industry.Based on previous research and analysis, this paper combines DEA and the Malmquist-Luenberger index to measure the total green factor productivity of the logistics industry in seven provinces and cities in East China from 2006 to 2016.The results show that the energy input and CO2 emissions are included. The total factor productivity of the logistics industry is higher than the total factor productivity without consideration, and the development of the logistics industry in seven provinces and cities in East China failed to achieve the DEA effect. There are different degrees of input redundancy and output deficiency, and the efficiency is improved. It is the main factor that drives the growth of green total factor productivity. This article also makes an empirical study on the green total factor productivity of logistics industry from the perspective of environmental regulation. The results show that one item of environmental regulation has a negative effect on the green total factor productivity of the logistics industry, while the second item has a positive effect on the green total factor productivity of the logistics industry. It can be seen that the relationship between environmental regulation and the green total factor productivity of the logistics industry is presented. The "U"-type relationship, that is,with the continuous strengthening of environmental regulations, environmental regulation will be conducive to improving the overall factor productivity of the green logistics industry. In addition, the empirical results also show that the level of regional economic development and the level of innovation in logistics technology have a significant role in promoting green TFP in the logistics industry, while the promotion of labor productivity and energy productivity is very weak, and on this basis,it is proposed to improve logistics technology.Innovative capabilities, focusing on the green and efficient development of the logistics industry, strengthening the intensity of environmental regulations, and a series of policies and suggestions aimed at improving the green total factor productivity of the logistics industry and the quality of the logistics industry. |
