As an important part of public safety, school safety in primary and secondary schools is faced with increasingly diverse and complex risks. To address the problems of subjectivity in identifying campus risk factors, the lack of systematic identification, and the lack of analysis on the relationship between factors and the importance of each factor to campus safety, this study selects Grounded Theory(GT),Decision-making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory(DEMATEL)and Interpretative Structural Modeling Method(ISM)as the integrated research methods, and uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative research. The study uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods to systematically analyze risks in primary and secondary schools and to clarify the relationships between risk factors and their impact on school safety.Firstly, the study used semi-structured interviews and case statistics to obtain textual information on school risk events in primary and secondary schools based on the grounded theory, and used the qualitative research software NVivo11 to code the causal factors contained in this textual information, identifying 76 initial categories,19 categories and 8 main categories of school risk. The DEMATEL method was used to calculate the causality and importance of each factor, and the DEMATEL-ISM method was used to construct a hierarchical structure of6 levels and 3 orders of campus risk, which further pointed out the management principles for different key risk factors in the three stages of essential causation, transitional causation and proximity causation. Finally,a model of the influence of each category of risk factors on the main category of risk factors is constructed based on the eight main categories, and then risk control measures are formulated based on the influence relationship model to prevent and transfer risks scientifically and effectively. This study provides theoretical support for campus risk management in primary and secondary school campuses, enriches the existing literature on the influence relationship between risk factors in primary and secondary school campuses,to solve the important and difficult problems of campus safety management at the source, and provides strategic suggestions for risk management in primary and secondary school campuses.
