Explorative innovation is the source of continuous improvement and innovation,and the mobility of talents among organizations is the key to turn it from possibility to reality.The key to innovation is core knowledge,and talent are the carrier of knowledge.At the same time,the talent mobility network is formed with the general talent mobility among organizations.Then,how does the talent mobility network affect the enterprise explorative innovation? What role does knowledge network density play in this path? How will the influence of talent mobility network on the density of knowledge network change when the network content about talent past performance and the absorptive capacity of enterprises are different? These questions need to be addressed and further explored.To reveal the influence mechanism of talent mobility network on enterprise explorative innovation more accurately,this paper takes the social network theory as the basis and the knowledge network density as the mediating variable.The influences of in-degree,out-degree and structural hole on explorative innovation of talent mobility network are explored respectively.At the same time,taking talent past performance and the absorptive capacity of enterprises as moderating variables,the boundary conditions of the influence of talent mobility network on explorative innovation are explored.This paper selects patent data of 4,773 enterprises in China’s biotechnology industry from2012 to 2020 as research samples,uses R language and other tools to build talent mobility network,and carries out empirical analysis based on SPSS25.0.The empirical results show that :(1)the in-degree of talent mobility network has a significant positive impact on explorative innovation;(2)the out-degree of talent mobility network has a significant negative impact on explorative innovation;(3)there is a positive correlation between the structure hole of talent mobility network and enterprise exploratory innovation;(4)the past performance of the inflow talent positively moderates the relationship between the in-degree of talent mobility network and knowledge network density,and moderates the mediating effect of knowledge network density on the indegree of talent mobility network and enterprise explorative innovation.(5)the absorptive capacity of enterprises positively moderates the relationship among the structural hole and knowledge network density.In addition,the absorptive capacity of enterprises also moderates the mediating effect of the structure hole of talent mobility network on enterprise explorative innovation through knowledge network density.(6)knowledge network density plays a mediating role between talent mobility network and enterprise explorative innovation.The conclusions of this paper could enrich the relevant research on talent mobility network and explorative innovation,and provide a new idea for future research.In practice,while improving the location of the talent flow network,organizations also need to investigate the past performance of the inflow talent and improve their absorption capacity,so as to attract and retain the high performance talent whose influence is more critical to the enterprise’s exploratory innovation.
