With the advent of the era of knowledge economy,the world’s science and technology are advancing rapidly,and the competition for innovation is intensifying.In the context of technological innovation and the globalization of knowledge production,the innovation model has evolved from linear and partial innovation in the past to networked innovation,and at the same time,it has gradually shifted from closed innovation to open innovation.In order to better implement innovation,an enterprise needs to obtain various valuable resources from the outside.Therefore,various social networks outside the enterprise become the key to obtaining innovation resources.Universities and scientific research institutions have long been engaged in basic scientific research and experiments,and they are important creators of new technological knowledge.The cooperative innovation between enterprises and universities and scientific research institutions also constitutes a knowledge ecosystem.The value creation of the knowledge ecosystem has become an academic subject that has attracted much attention.In this context,this article studies the value creation of the university-industry collaboration knowledge ecosystem network.First,it reviews the rise of knowledge ecosystems and the theoretical frontiers of knowledge ecosystem value creation,summarizes the research results of different ecosystem networks,and analyzes the frontier literature on the relationship between the characteristics of knowledge ecosystem networks and value creation.Secondly,from the perspective of knowledge ecosystem,the university-industry collaboration is regarded as a knowledge ecosystem.This paper clarifies the connotation of universityindustry collaboration,the knowledge ecosystem of university-industry collaboration and its value creation,and analyzes the network structure of the university-industry collaboration knowledge ecosystem,And divides the network characteristics of the university-industry collaboration knowledge ecosystem from the system and individual levels,expounds the relationship between system characteristics and value creation,the relationship between proximity and value creation,and the mechanism of value creation of the university-industry collaboration knowledge ecosystem.Third,select samples of university-industry collaboration in China’s iron and steel industry with academic and research institutions as the core,and use the CNKI patent database to search for patent information for university-industry collaboration in China’s iron and steel industry from 2000 to 2019,and verify the characteristics of the university-industry collaboration knowledge ecosystem.For the impact of value creation,select value creation as the dependent variable,system characteristics and inter-individual proximity as independent variables,and set the scale of study and research and the age of study and research as control variables.Using social network analysis methods,a knowledge ecosystem network of university-industry collaboration was constructed,and Ucinet 6 software was used to analyze the network characteristics of the knowledge ecosystem.Use Stata 15 software to perform negative binomial regression analysis on existing statistical data,and verify the hypothesis through regression results.Finally,summarize the research conclusions:(1)The scale of the university-industry collaboration knowledge ecosystem network promotes its value creation.The more companies cooperate,the more opportunities there are to carry out innovative activities and realize value creation.(2)The inverted U-shaped relationship between geographical proximity and the value creation of the university-industry collaboration knowledge ecosystem.To a certain extent,geographical proximity makes it easier for both parties to communicate and communicate face-to-face,and increase the value of cooperative innovation.After reaching a certain level,as geographical proximity continues to increase,geographical proximity has a significant impact on the value of university-industry collaboration innovation.The promotion effect continues to decrease.(3)The inverted U-shaped relationship between the proximity of knowledge and the value creation of the university-industry collaboration knowledge ecosystem.With the continuous improvement of knowledge proximity,the main bodies of university-industry collaboration can more efficiently transfer and complement new knowledge,thereby stimulating the generation of new inventions.To a certain extent,if the knowledge proximity continues to increase,the cooperation between the two parties Knowledge heterogeneity is too low to stimulate innovation,and the value of innovation continues to decrease.
