The earth has entered a new geological era called the Anthropocene, and climate change has become one of the biggest crises facing the world.Affected by climate change, the temperature and humidity of the atmosphere in the Qinghai Tibet Plateau region have increased in recent years, precipitation has increased, and glacier melting has accelerated. This has led to the rise of water in Qinghai Lake and the expansion of the lake surface.A series of environmental changes have created unprecedented challenges for human and nonhuman residents living in the Qinghai Lake area. All residents must take action to continue to survive in the Anthropocene. In order to address these challenges, the traditional dichotomy between society and nature cannot be continued, and both human and nonhuman beings must be taken into account.Communitry residents, management departments, national policies, wild animals such as water birds, including Black-necked Cranes, and even climate, lake water, and land can be seen as actors. They have been constantly changing and interacting to regenerate and shape the local network of Qinghai Lake.Only by allowing as many actors as possible to join the new collective bargaining table and assigning qualified spokespersons to nonhuman members who cannot speak up,can new solutions be proposed to address environmental crises. This study aims to track some of these actors, examine their interactions and practices, and attempt to provide insights on ecological protection actions in the Qinghai Lake region.Firstly,as the inorganic environment of the Earth, climate and lake water should also become members of local actor networks;Secondly, local residents can play an important role in biodiversity conservation.Their practice of creating artificial nests based on traditional knowledge and concepts can effectively assist wild animals such as Black-necked Cranes, providing new ideas for the conservation movement of scientific discourse.Local residents can become qualified spokespersons for nonhumans, and management departments should attach importance to their actions and take incentive and cooperative measures;Thirdly, species monitoring by frontline workers provides necessary basic data for scientific research and conservation actions, and they also have the opportunity to become nonhuman spokespersons. In addition to traditional philosophical perspectives, their understanding of field investigations can also be seen as part of the circular citation translation chain;Fourthly,in the process of building national parks, ecological relocation should fully consider the welfare and demands of local residents as much as possible, and respect their traditional culture;Fifthly, ecotourism has to some extent impacted traditional environmental concepts and practices in the local area. Therefore, the perspective of habitation can be used to reveal and correct the underlying neoliberal logic. The Anthropocene is promoting the cultural and environmental changes in the Qinghai Lake area, and the ecological protection action of the Anthropocene will also affect the future of the Anthropocene. If humans want to continue living on Earth in the new geological era,the ecological protection movement needs to establish a parliament of all things with the participation of more Earth residents to address the conflicts and challenges of environmental change. |
