Trigger Mechanism Of Waste Classification Behavior Of Sanitation Workers In Guangzhou From The Perspective Of Actor-network Theory

The link of the whole chain of waste classification is the key to achieving the overall effectiveness of classification.However,the front-end classification release is weak,the middle-end classification collection and transportation connection is difficult,and the end classification treatment energy efficiency is low.The sanitation workers are located in the middle link of the waste classification actor-network,which is an important node connecting the front-end release and end treatment.The empirical study shows that the external forces such as government guidance,social environment,social norms,public feedback effect,and the classification readiness as the internal driving force together constitute the trigger mechanism of waste classification behavior of sanitation workers.Government guidance is embedded in the influence of social environment,social norms,and public classification to varying degrees.Social environment,social norms,and public feedback effect can trigger the waste classification behavior of sanitation workers through classification readiness.To effectively trigger the positive waste classification behavior of sanitation workers,it should be realized by improving the classification readiness of sanitation workers under the guidance of the government.The government should deepen the positive empowerment of the social environment by optimizing the structural functions of waste classification sites and creating neighborhood community relations,strengthen the incentive mobilization of social norms by relying on the improvement of the waste classification assessment mechanism and the construction of environmental sanitation workers’ rights and interests protection mechanism and urge the public to effectively classify and punish violations to strengthen the positive guidance of public behavior,to form a positive trigger effect of waste classification behavior.The key role of sanitation workers will be brought into full play to promote the classification,quality improvement and efficiency increase of Guangzhou garbage.
