| Since the 1990 s,with the important transformation of global resource allocation, the rational division of labor among countries with global value chains(GVCs)as the connecting point has gradually formed a new global norm.Under the situation that the trend of GVC and international docking promotes the rational division of labor among countries has become unstoppable, for China, the focus is on how to give full play to its own trade structure advantages to enhance its international participation status by deeply embedding itself into the global value chain. From the current situation,China is in the world’s largest exporter status,to participate in the global division of labor as an important processing trade exporter, which is of great significance in the international arena. At the same time,we should also be aware that China is also the world’s largest carbon emitter,it can be said that China’s achievements in foreign trade can not help but consume a lot of resources and at the expense of the environment,it can be seen that in China’s participation in foreign trade in the trade value chain generated by the export of implied carbon should be paid attention to.As one of the three major economic zones in the new era,Yangtze River Economic Zone has not only become the main force to drive the national industrial economic growth and promote the transformation and upgrading of the national value chain, but also plays the role of an important domestic block, forming a strong domestic value chain circulation force, promoting the formation of a double cycle between China’s domestic value chain and the global value chain, and deepening the degree of China’s participation in the global value chain.Existing studies have pointed out that China’s GVC participation and international status have been significantly improved, which is closely related to the synergistic cluster belt effect of Yangtze River Economic Belt, however, some studies on carbon emission of Yangtze River Economic Belt show that its development mode in recent years is still a traditional sense of rough development, and its economic growth is more often based on the development of a large number of heavy industries and excessive carbon dioxide emissions, thus causing The economic growth achieved is still based on the development of heavy industries and the excessive emission of carbon dioxide, which causes a lot of environmental pollution. Therefore,in the context of sustainable development and the commitment to achieve the "double carbon" target, many studies have begun to focus on the relationship between global value chains and low carbon development. In this thesis,we explore the decoupling status of the Yangtze River Economic Belt’s trade value chain export implied carbon, based on the implied carbon measurement method of existing studies, and use the factor flow of input-output table to decompose the GVC embedding index at the provincial level, and introduce the Tapio decoupling model to construct the decoupling model of the Yangtze River Economic Belt’s embedding in the global value chain and export implied carbon, and explore the decoupling, negative decoupling and connection of the Yangtze River Economic Belt from the perspective of three states The study also decomposes the influence factors of each state, explores the influence law of decoupling and nondecoupling factors, and proposes countermeasures for the low-carbon transformation of the trade value chain of Yangtze River Economic Zone. The research results show that(1)in terms of export implied carbon measurement,in general, the Yangtze River Economic Belt’s export implied carbon is basically consistent with the direction of export value.By industry, the five industries of nonmetallic mineral products, metal smelting and rolling processing industry, metal products industry, general and special equipment manufacturing industry, and electronic equipment manufacturing industry have the highest export implied carbon emissions.By basin, the implied carbon emissions from exports in the downstream region are steadily high and the gap with the middle and upper basin is obvious, which shows that the implied carbon emissions from export trade remain high, continue to rise slowly and are difficult to reach the peak;(2)the embedding of the Yangtze River Economic Zone in the global value chain is generally fluctuating, and the embedding degree of trade value chain is relatively stable in each year.By industry, five industries, namely, metal smelting and rolling processing industry, transportation equipment manufacturing industry, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry, electronic equipment manufacturing industry, and instrumentation manufacturing industry, have the highest trade value chain embeddedness.By basin, the embeddedness of trade value chain in the downstream region has been maintained at a high level, and is much higher than that in the upstream and midstream regions, while the gap in embeddedness of trade value chain between basins is large, and the overall lack of breaking a leading role between basins.(3)As for the decoupling of trade value chain and export implied carbon in Yangtze River Economic Zone. Its overall is in strong decoupling,of which the inhibiting effect of scale effect corresponding to decoupling is the main factor among the four major effects;the effect of structural effect is weaker, but it produces a facilitating effect on decoupling in most cases;the facilitating effect of technology effect and value chain embedding effect is sometimes strong and sometimes weak during the study period.By industry, the thesis printing and stationery industry, petroleum processing industry and other manufacturing industries are in a negative decoupling state of expansion, mainly due to the inhibiting effect of the value chain embedding effect and the technology effect.By provinces,Zhejiang,Anhui,Chongqing and Sichuan provinces are in the expansion-connected state, which are weakly inhibited or promoted by the value chain embedding effect and technology effect, and cannot compensate for the inhibitory strength brought by the scale effect. Finally,in response to the above findings, the article puts forward the suggestions of strengthening technological innovation and leading to improve energy utilization efficiency;promoting industrial structure upgrading and optimizing provincial trade value chain structure;introducing low-carbon development-related policies and advocating green trade;and adapting to local conditions and fully participating in the global value chain system to promote the low-carbon transformation and upgrading of trade value chain in Yangtze River Economic Belt. |
