Research On The Application Of Design Semiotics In The Design Of Daily Ceramics

With the development and progress of the times,people’s requirements for indispensable daily ceramics in life are getting higher and higher,which is manifested as beginning to shift from basic functional needs to higher-level spiritual needs.At the same time,daily ceramics,as a form of products created and produced by human beings,are inevitably symbolic.Based on Morris’ s semiotic theory,the author deconstructs and analyzes daily ceramics from three perspectives: semantics,semantics and pragmatics,hoping to broaden the research space of daily ceramic design by using the methodological theory of design semiotics,and provide new ideas for the practice of daily ceramic design.This article is divided into five chapters,in addition to the introduction,first discusses the origin and main schools of semiotics,as well as the development of art and design,and then analyzes the development of design semiotics in the fields of architecture,products,planes,and arts and crafts.Then,from the three perspectives of semenology,semantics and pragmatics,the design semiotics in the field of daily ceramics are discussed.Among them,the daily ceramics in the semantic dimension mainly analyze the composition relationship between the basic design symbols.The daily ceramics of the semantic dimension are the relationship between design symbols and the meaning they convey,which are mainly divided into two parts: explicit semantics and invisible semantics.The pragmatic dimension of daily ceramics is the study of the mutual constraints and influences between human and daily ceramics,environment and daily ceramics,and the three.It also discusses the design semiotics norms of daily ceramics from three aspects: semantics,semantics and pragmatics.Based on the above theoretical analysis,the author extracts and analyzes design symbols by combining the design objects with the product characteristics of daily ceramics,carries out scheme design from multiple angles,and carries out design practices from two types of daily ceramic products: bathroom and tableware.
