While maintaining steady and rapid development,the construction industry has also brought a series of environmental problems,such as pollution and destruction of the environment,high energy consumption,high carbon emissions and so on.Under the requirements and trends of green development in the new era,"environmental protection" has gradually become the general consensus of construction enterprises.Engineering projects are the basic bearing units of construction enterprises’ production and business activities.Projects not only contribute economic benefits to the enterprise,but also create a lot of environmental problems.Therefore,the implementation of environmental management practice in engineering projects has become the main means for construction enterprises to achieve environmental protection goals.As the management subject of engineering project,project team plays a key role in project environmental management.How to give full play to the role of the project team to improve the project environmental management performance has attracted more and more attention.In a project team,the project manager and team members have different roles and responsibilities respectively.The project manager is the manager and leader of the team,while team members are the undertakers of the specific project management activities.The project manager,as the core of the team,has a significant impact on the cognition and behavior of team members.Compared with other types of leaderships,environmental leadership is more targeted and effective in project environmental management.Employee green behavior is the specific behavior of team members in project environmental management.How to connect the project manager’s environmental leadership with employee green behavior of team members is the key question to be answered of this thesis.Starting with this background and purpose,this thesis firstly reviews relevant literature on the research topic,sorted out previous researches on environmental leadership,environmental awareness,employee green behavior and team environmental atmosphere.The above concepts are defined in the context of engineering project management.Then it compares the difference between traditional engineering project management and green engineering project management,analyzes the performance and effect of project manager’s environment leadership and team members’ green behavior under the background of green engineering project management.Then,based on the theory of social information processing,a theoretical model of "informationcognitive-behavioral" is put forward,in which the project manager’s environmental leadership is taken as the independent variable,team members’ environmental awareness and green behavior are regarded as the mediating variable and the dependent variable respectively,team environmental atmosphere is taken as the moderating variable.Hypothetical model is established,and hypothesis is tested by empirical analysis.The following conclusions are drawn:(a)At the individual level,team members’ environmental awareness can positively influence their green behavior.(b)In the cross-level aspect,project manager’s environment leadership can not only directly affect the team members’ green behavior,but also indirectly promote team members’ green behavior by improving their environmental awareness.Team environmental atmosphere has a moderating effect on the relationship between environmental awareness and required green behavior of team members.According to the research conclusions,some suggestions are put forward to project teams and construction enterprises.Finally,the shortcomings and limitations of this thesis are pointed out and the future research direction is proposed. |
