The “14th Five-Year Plan” Cultural Industry Development Plan mentions that“encourage and support cultural enterprises,institutions and individuals to strengthen content originality and product research and development,and promote the creation and production of cultural products such as drama,music,dance,art,animation,creative design,arts and crafts”.Promote the rapid development of drama,including dance drama,with high quality.As an important part of visual presentation in stage art,the value of dance drama costumes is widely recognized by the public.There are many methods of costume design,since dance drama has to meet the needs of shaping characters and expressing emotions,various techniques are used in the design process,and fabric reconstruction is one of the significant ones.Excellent dance drama costumes invariably use fabric reconstruction in design practice to produce rich artistic expression.With the continuous innovation of dance drama costume design concept,its connotation is not only a kind of enjoyment to satisfy public visual senses,the positive pursuit and expectation of it is the comprehensive embodiment of current aesthetic standard,economic development and spiritual need,which needs to continuously improve the research on the application of fabric reconstruction in dance drama costumes,so as to better guide the design practice.This research starts from the development of dance drama and Chinese dance drama,analyzes and introduces the conceptual creativity of costume design in each development period of dance drama,while analyzing the aesthetic characteristics of dance drama costumes from three aspects: morphological characteristics,structural characteristics and color characteristics;explains the connotation,principle and role of fabric reconstruction,elaborates the artistic expression of fabric reconstruction from the three dimensions of visual style,tactile feeling and auditory effect,summarizes the fabric reconstruction production process and analyzes the future development direction of fabric reconstruction;explains the application of fabric reconstruction in dance drama costumes,conducts questionnaire survey and summarizes the summary,analyzes the relationship between dance drama costumes with lighting and the choice of fabric material,elaborates the key points of dance drama costume creation,and summarizes the application of fabric reconstruction in dance drama costumes.This paper completes the costume design and works explanation of the character "Lunar God" in the dance drama “Everything is Born”.Through the rational use of fabric reconstruction process,combined with the analysis of repertoire and character,inspiration source,effect and style drawings,fabric selection introduction,etc.,the complete process from design to dance drama costume production is completed.
