Design Research And Innovative Application Of Traditional Grain Processing Tools

As a typical representative of agricultural production tools,traditional grain processing agricultural tools have played an important role in the history of Chinese civilization for thousands of years.The materialized form of their design shows the wisdom of the working people and reflects the design principles contained in them for a long time.Through the relationship between people and things,between things and things,and between things and environment,the design of traditional grain processing agricultural tools was studied,and the design rules were summarized.The design principles obtained from the study were applied to the design practice of modern agricultural machinery.The design and research of traditional grain processing tools are divided into four levels:First of all,from the creation process of the "people" and "use" "implements" the three main factors,analysis the influence factors of formation of traditional cereal processing tools,points out that the formation of traditional cereal processing tools depend on farmers this subject on the grain characteristic and the cognitive process of the farming process,according to the processing of grain farming process to the traditional grain processing tools are classified,The traditional coarse grain processing tools that are still in use today were selected as the research objects.Secondly,from the perspectives of "implements" and "objects in use",that is,the structure,function,material and operation mode of the implements themselves,this paper analyzes three kinds of traditional rough grain processing implements,including flail,rice huller and winnowing-fan,which are still used in the north of Sichuan province at present,and expounds the rationality and scientific nature of the design.Thirdly,based on the design and research of traditional grain rough processing in the previous paper,the article starts from the "utensils" and "social environment" and "natural environment".Through the evolution process of design objects,the principle of "preparation for use" that promotes the change of objects is explored.Through the design characteristics of design objects,the author discusses and excavates the design principles of usability,ecology and human nature,including "if you want to do something well,you must do it well first","taking it in a proper way" and "people-oriented".Finally,modern interpretation of the wisdom of traditional grain processing agricultural tools is made,and three design principles of "precisely meet the needs","consider the life cycle" and "combine with the experience of use" are put forward,which are tried to be applied in the design practice.Based on this idea,combined with farmers’ demand for grain drying,renting machine shucking demand,guarantee of grain price,grain merchants’ demand for improving the convenience of grain collection,output sharing grain acquisition and drying shucking integrated equipment design scheme.Through the analysis of the formation process,case design and design thought of the traditional grain processing farm tools,it is considered that the design of the traditional grain processing farm tools is optimized and redesigned by the working people to achieve the purpose and complete the function with the most reasonable structure,material and operation mode.Traditional grain processing tools have strong applicability and environmental adaptability,and the condensed design principles provide theoretical basis for the design of modern products.
