Indonesia is a country with extraordinary wealth.Whether it comes from natural resources,customs,cultural heritage or historical sites,we can all get rich resources from it.Batik culture is a famous cultural heritage in Indonesia,especially batik in Yogyakarta.Batik is the product of the combination of art and technology of great ancestors.Batik is an image of Indonesian handicraft culture,which forms a decorative style of complexity and exquisiteness through oblique brush strokes depicted.Because Indonesian batik has a high level of art,it is recognized by the world as a truly perfect batik in terms of design and manufacturing process(Ampri Heelmy and Mujiono,1992: 61).The emergence of batik can be traced back to the Kingdom of Majapahit.To this day,the tradition of making batik is a traditional handicraft handed down from generation to generation.The lineage can be identified by the pattern.Batik has high aesthetic value,full of meaning and philosophy.This is the wisdom of craftsmanship.The harmony between human and nature can be found through batik patterns.In addition,some batik patterns in Indonesia can show a person’s identity.Even today,some traditional batik patterns can only be worn by the Keraton family,such as keraton Yogyakarta.In keraton Yogyakarta,the traditional batik culture has a very important position in the court culture.Because the social class of the wearer can be seen by the type of clothes worn.There are many types of batik patterns,which have a high position in batik.From the deep meaning of batik patterns,the connection between culture and "symbols" can be seen."Symbols" are representations that contain meaning.The elements behind the symbols give people the characteristics of meaning or meaning,and can make people see things through five senses and memories or something,so that people can experience it.(Mulia,1983).The development and application of the theme patterns in keraton Yogyakarta to modern jewelry art design to reflect social culture is a creative and innovative work.Making modern jewelry with Yogyakarta cultural elements requires not only good creativity and creativity,but also values and norms.This combination can create a very unique modern jewelry art and provide users with unique jewelry choices.Enrich the cultural diversity of Yogyakarta,thereby increasing the diversity of Indonesian jewelry art development and enriching Indonesian creative art design...
