Under the stimulus of the national birth policy,the fertility rate will continue to rise,and the children’s furniture market prospect is broad.However,the current children’s furniture on the market is still staying in the stage of simply pursuing functional practicality and interesting appearance,paying insufficient attention to children’s physical and mental development and behavior guidance,and the problem of children’s furniture design innovation needs to be solved urgently.Montessori education theory holds that children aged 3-6 years are at a critical stage of learning and development and they need to be provided with a "prepared environment".This paper is mainly divided into four parts: theoretical research,user research and analysis,design principles and strategy analysis,and design practice.First,based on the author’s understanding of the scientific connotation of Montessori education theory,the theoretical research stage summarizes the education theory of sensory stimulation,mixed form of organization and daily behavior guidance method through the field investigation,then extracts the atmosphere build,sensitive period,behavior guidance,sharing and interaction and other keywords.Thus,it provides theoretical guidance for the design of children’s furniture.Second,in the stage of user research and analysis,the author uses field observation method,questionnaire method and in-depth interview method to analyze and summarize the behavior characteristics of children aged 3-6,collect and sort out user needs,and uses Kano analysis method to sort user needs,so that follow-up research can better meet user needs.Third,in the stage of design principle and strategy analysis,according to the theoretical research and user research and analysis,the scientific method of Montessori education theory is combined with children’s furniture design,and the Montessori children’s furniture design method with the concept of "love and freedom" is summarized.Montessori children’s furniture design method takes the principles of safety,conciseness,artistic interest,guiding education and interactive exploration,aims to innovate through serialized design,sensory stimulation combined with the characteristics of children’s sensitivity,create a good family education environment for children,and achieve the purpose of combining education with life.Finally,by using the design methods and principles of children’s furniture under the Montessori education theory,the design practice was conducted,and the design scheme of children’s furniture with atmosphere construction,behavior guidance and sensitive period cultivation was completed.The feasibility of the study conclusion was verified by the design evaluation.This paper applies the scientific methods and principles of Montessori education theory to the design of children’s furniture,and strives to enhance the educational attribute of children’s furniture,realize the purpose of edutainment in life,and promote the healthy growth of children.At the same time,it also provides a certain reference for the innovative design of children’s furniture. |
