| Modern parents are devoting more and more of their valuable time,energy and financial resources to help develop children’s own intellectual abilities and to educate them in a holistic manner.For parents,bringing an entertaining educational toy to children is a good and generally acceptable experience.Through a literature search,an overview and research analysis of domestic and international children’s educational toys,the Kano model and related theoretical research was conducted,and market research and classification of children’s educational toys was conducted to summarise the current status of existing children’s educational toys in the market.We also conducted a quantitative analysis based on a questionnaire to determine the basic needs of children’s parents for educational toys: usefulness and fun.Educational.Based on the needs of the children’s educational toy user group,the Kano model for this user group was established,and the types of needs for different functions were summarised and sorted out.The design of educational toys for school-age children is based on three main design principles:simple and easy to understand rules,effective theme setting and reasonable difficulty positioning.Finally,the design of children’s educational toys is based on a participatory design process,in which users are invited to participate directly in the design process,and the design of children’s educational toys is conceptualised and practised in conjunction with the demand data to prove the feasibility of the above theory. |
