| The construction of Healthy City is an important tool for promoting the development of a healthy China.Promoting the sustainable optimization of the health of cities is not only necessary for building a Healthy China,but also a requirement for the continued healthy development of China’s high-quality development strategy.This study explores the basic content of Healthy City from a geographic perspective,constructs an evaluation index system for the construction of Healthy City that integrates five dimensions,and examines the level of Healthy City construction in different regions and cities.The study also analyzes the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics,formation mechanisms,and optimization paths of China’s Healthy City construction,which has significant academic and practical value.This study,based on sociology and geography,selected 341 cities in China as research samples.The research period was from 2010 to 2020.Following the analytical framework of "conceptual analysis-spatiotemporal evolution-formation mechanismoptimization promotion," the study explored the basic content of Healthy City,constructed an evaluation index system for the construction of Healthy City that integrated five dimensions:medical level,economic foundation,cultural development,social services,and ecological environment.It measured and evaluated the level of healthy city construction in 341 prefecture-level and above cities in China in 2010,2015,and 2020.Exploratory spatial analysis methods and the Dagum Gini coefficient were used to explore the spatiotemporal pattern of China’s Healthy City construction,and the geographic detector model was used to analyze the influencing factors and formation mechanisms of the Healthy City construction pattern.The main research conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)The evaluation results of the level of Healthy City construction in 341 cities in China show that from 2010 to 2020,the level of Healthy City construction in China’s 341 cities has been on the rise.The mean value of the comprehensive health index at the three time points was 0.367,0.402,and 0.438,respectively.The spatial distribution pattern showed significant regional imbalance,with the overall structure of "high coastal and low inland,high eastern and low western";the municipal units show different gradient levels in medical level,economic foundation,cultural development,social services,and ecological environment,and the spatial pattern shows diversity.(2)Based on the evaluation results,a global spatial autocorrelation analysis indicates that the level of Healthy City construction in China shows obvious positive correlation and increasing spatial aggregation.Local spatial autocorrelation analysis shows that the hot and cold spots of Healthy City construction in China exhibit dynamic changes within a certain range,with relatively stable spatial distribution.Core hotspots are mainly formed in several economic growth pole regions,while cold spots are mainly distributed in the old,young,poor,and remote regions of the west and northeast,which is consistent with the spatial heterogeneity trend of China’s Healthy City construction.LISA cluster distribution shows that there are three types of local clustering of China’s city-level and above Healthy City construction:H-H type,H-L type,and L-L type,and the same type of clustering is dominant,which remains relatively stable in spatial distribution.The decomposition of the Dagum Gini coefficient shows that the overall regional difference of China’s Healthy City construction level exhibits a trend of first increasing and then decreasing,and regional differences have the greatest impact on overall differences,making it the main source of regional differences in China’s Healthy City construction.(3)Using the geographic detector to analyze the formation mechanism of Healthy City construction,the factor detection results show that the comprehensive air quality index,per capita disposable income,the proportion of energy-saving and environmental protection expenditures to total fiscal expenditures,and the number of hospitals above level three all have a significant impact on regional differences in Healthy City construction.The interaction factor detection results show that in the process of constructing Healthy City,the driving role of a single factor is limited,and the interaction between influencing factors shows that their combined effect is stronger.Among them,the combined effect of the comprehensive air quality index and per capita disposable income has the greatest impact on the construction of Healthy City.The interaction among factors such as resource and environmental endowments,economic development level,medical and health progress,public service support,and scientific and technological innovation capabilities promotes the evolution of China’s healthy city construction pattern.This study provides theoretical basis and path references for an in-depth understanding of the current situation of the construction of Healthy City in China,the scientific formulation of differentiated construction strategies for Healthy City,and the promotion of the effective implementation of the Health China Strategy. |
