Research On The Development Of Physics Discipline At National Southwest Associated University

Discipline is the basic unit of a university,which is the community of knowledge system,academic organization and culture.Its development level has a crucial impact on the emergence,existence and future of a university.Even in that very bad situation,National Southwest Associated University still led many disciplines to produce lots of new successes on the basis of inheriting history,which provided solid support and strong connection for the continuous development of modern Chinese academics,and even spited out a new starting point.Therefore,it played a very excellent role in the development of the whole Chinese modern discipline system.Taking the development of physics in National Southwest Associated University as the research object,this study retrospects its historical context,describes its development connotation,reveals its academic achievements.It aims to provide sufficient experience for the development of physics and even the construction of other disciplines from both theory and practice.This thesis is closely related to the theme of the development of the discipline of physics in National Southwest Associated University,from three aspects of investigation and analysis.First,it traces the historical process of the emergence of modern physics in China and its disciplinarization,focusing on describing the overall situation of the development of physics in National Tsing Hua University,National Peking University and Private Nankai University before the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.The purpose of this is to have a comprehensive historical grasp of the development of this discipline.Second,according to the theory of discipline structure and system theory,it shows the specific development connotation of physics in this University from the changes of discipline organization,discipline knowledge and discipline culture.Third,the factors influencing the development of the discipline are extracted,which not only include the free and democratic academic environment,the sense of mission and responsibility to save the country,but also contain the internal factors such as discipline team,discipline culture,academic system and academic platform.Finally,through historical research and theoretical exploration,the historical value and practical significance of the development of physics in National Southwest Associated University are deeply explored and demonstrated.It Points out that this discipline has not only preserved the academic context,but also played an important role in knowledge innovation and cultural continuity.The historical experience of it suggests that our current construction of physics must carry out the concept of general education,build a first-class faculty,attach importance to basic science training,strengthen academic ties across disciplines and lay stress on the construction of discipline culture.
