| With the changes of modern society,Habermas not only saw and affirmed the role of science and technology in promoting social development,inherited Marx’s view that science and technology is productive force,but also creatively put forward the view that science and technology is the first productive force;At the same time,like his predecessors in Frankfurt(Horkheimer and Adorno),he saw that science and technology are playing an ideological function as ideology in modern society and becoming a tool and accomplice to rule people.Therefore,he clearly put forward the argument that science and technology is ideology.The theory of technological domination is based on the expansion of purposeful rationality and needs to be checked and balanced.Therefore,he strictly distinguished the rational activities of labor purpose and the interaction with symbols as the medium(i.e.communication activities).On this basis,it further leads to the purpose rationality and communication rationality,hoping to play the role of communication rationality through communication activities to restrict the purpose rationality and purpose rationality activities.In the process of criticism and inheritance,it has opened up a new path of scientific and Technological Criticism: a moderate path full of hope and hope,which has realized the compromise between Marx’s scientific and technological thought and Horkheimer Adorno’s scientific and technological critical thought.In this context,by expounding the inheritance and difference between Habermas’ s critical thought of science and technology and Marx’s thought of science and technology,this paper points out that Habermas,like Marx,affirmed the development of science and technology and laid the groundwork for the moderation of his thought;On the other hand,by comparing the similarities and differences between Habermas,Horkheimer and Adorno’s critical thought of science and technology,it highlights the more dialectical and comprehensive characteristics of his thought than his predecessors;Finally,through the specific discussion of Habermas’ s critical thought of science and technology,it further points out the moderation and shortcomings of Habermas’ s critical thought of science and technology.It is hoped that through the discussion and study of the moderation in Habermas’ s thought,our contemporary young scholars can get some enlightenment when facing and analyzing the problems brought by science and technology,and have a more comprehensive and dialectical vision. |
