With the change of consumers’ shopping preference,the retailer’s operating model also changes dramatically.The rapid development of e-commerce has made omnichannel retailing the goal of retail enterprise transformation.In the omni-channel retail mode,in order to meet the consumer’s demand for purchase at any time,any place,and in any way,the retailer adopts the integration of offline physical channels and online store channels to sell goods or services,providing consumers with no difference Purchase experience.This retail method not only facilitates consumers,but also brings more profitable methods to retail enterprises.However,omni-channel retailing has brought challenges to the inventory management of retail enterprises.Omni-channel retailing has higher requirements for the inventory of each channel.If the inventory is higher than consumer demand,it will bring pressure on the inventory holding cost to retailers;if the inventory is lower than consumer demand,it will bring retailers loss of out-of-stock costs.At the same time,the choice of consumers’ return channels and the possibility of secondary sales of returned products will also bring some difficulties to retailers’ inventory management.Based on this,this paper studies the inventory decision problem under omnichannel retailing,and provides reasonable and optimal inventory decision support for retailers with omni-channel retailing as the operating mode so that they can get the most profit.The work mainly completed in this article includes the following aspects:(1)Construct an inventory decision model that does not consider returns under omni-channel retailing.In the case of uncertain consumer demand,the newsboy model is used to build an inventory decision model that does not consider returns under omnichannel retailing.This model is used as the basic model in this article.Deduces and solves the constructed model,and obtains the optimal inventory of offline physical stores,the optimal inventory of online stores,and the optimal expected profit of retailers under omni-channel retail without considering returns,and analyzes the impact of the proportion of demand from busy stores that consumers purchase in ROPS mode on the optimal inventory and total profit of each channel.(2)Construct an inventory decision model that considers returns under omnichannel retailing.In considering the return of goods,there are two cases to study:consider the same channel return and consider the cross-channel return.Based on the basic model,considering the factors of consumer returns and returnable products for secondary sales,establishing inventory decision model of the same channel return and cross-channel return.By solving the model,the optimal solutions in two cases are obtained.The influence of relevant parameters on the optimal solutions is further analyzed,and the relationship between the optimal solutions in three different cases is compared.
