The Fauna Taxonomy Studies Of The Tribe Stenochiini From Yunnan Of China(coleoptera: Tenebrionidae)

The tribe Stenochiini belonging to Coleoptera,Tenebrionidae,which is one of th richest tenebrionid group in tropical and subtropical forests,and there are 2200 species(subspecies)of 46 genera in world,103 species of 3 genera are known in China,and 98species(subspecies)of Stenochina are known in china,mainly distributed in southern China.Yunnan has the highest insect diversity in China.In order to study the the tribe Stenochiini of Yunnan,this thesis is focused on taxonomic study of the tribe Stenochiini from Yunnan based on the check of type specimens and the specimens,the fauna and geographical distribution of Stenochiini from Yunnan are discussed,it is comprised of four chapters.The main results of this work as followed:1.In the section of classification,1 genera and 35 species of Stenochiini from Yunnan are recorded,including citation,synonym and distribution etc.,as a result,3species are recorded to China for the first time and 13 new species are described.In the end,23 species are described,174 illustrations and 24 habitus are provided.3 new record to China: Strongylium sparseimpressum Pic,1922;S.subfoveolatum Pic,1922;S.tsuyukii Masumoto,1996.13 new species are described: S.dulongjiangense Ke et Yuan,2021;S.malipoense sp.nov.;S.jishani sp.nov.;S.qiaohoudense sp.nov.;S.tangi sp.nov.;S.eryuanense sp.nov.;S.gongshanense sp.nov.;S.xinpingense sp.nov.;S.lingxiaoense sp.nov.;S.junzishanense sp.nov.;S.lanpingense sp.nov.;S.weixiense sp.nov.;S.yemaoi sp.nov.2.The features of faunistic study of Stenochiini from Yunnan as follows:(1)1 genus and 35 species of Stenochiini from Yunnan are revised,and 31 species distributed in the Oriental region(31 species),and mainly distributed in South China,endemic species are remarkably abundant(28 species);(2)Subtropical-tropical distribution.The faunistic components of Stenochiini from Yunnan are confined to southwest region,maily distributed in tropic and subtropic area;(3)Most stenochid species distributed in a narrow region.There are a few species distributed in two region or more than.
