| Objective:Walking and running are common physical exercise items for college students. It is of great practical significance to study their energy consumption and related influencing factors to guide college students to carry out scientific physical exercise. The characteristics of walking, running energy consumption and physiological indexes at different speeds were analyzed and compared, and the differences between different groups were compared according to sex, heart rate distribution, body weight, body fat rate and lower limb length. This study provides standards engaging students to do exercise scientificly. Methods:The subjects were 54 non-sports special college students(male n=27;Female n=27),Age 18~23.Firstly,subjects sat for 15 min,and wearing portable gas metabolism analyzer for walking, running energy consumption test.Grade by speed of movement,4.8 km/h,5.6 km/h,6.4 km/h,walking speed running speed was 8.0 km/h,8.8 km/h,7.2 km/h for 6 min per level sit,and rest immediately after each level of exercise, when the subjects return to a quiet state before exercise(i.e.VO2 and VCO2 fluctuations ≤10%;Heart rate back to quiet, heart rate(±5%)and lower level exercise. The excess oxygen consumption(Excess post-exercise oxygen consumption,)after motion is calculated VO2 the recovery curve during intermittent motion recovery EPOC).Results:(1)College students walk for 6 minutes at km/h speeds of 4.8 km/h,5.6 km/h and 6.4 km/h,and the energy consumption of men was 18.26±3.23 kcal,23.20±3.67kcal and 30.85±4.83 kcal, respectively.Women’s walking precision energy consumption was 20.02±2.52 kcal,24.10±3.25 kcal and 32.49±5.35 kcal.University students run at 7.2 km/h,8.0 km/h and 8.8 km/h for 6 minutes,49.49±7.10 kcal,54.67±8.86 kcal and 61.18±8.91 kcal were measured respectively.Women’s energy consumption is 38.90±5.86 kcal,44.27±6.92 kcal 48.91±7.39 kcal. The MET value of walking exercise in college students is higher than that of ACSM reference value, while that of running exercise is lower than that of ACSM reference value.(2)Walking and running energy consumption in men at the same speed was higher than in women, and differences were statissignificant;male EPOC and EPOC energy consumption was higher than in women, but no significant differences were found.(3)The precise energy consumption of high body recombination is significantly higher than that of medium and lower body recombination;and the energy consumption of EPOC and EPOC is significantly higher than lower body recombination.(4)The reference value of unit time energy consumption at different genders and different body weight is proposed for college students. For example,a female college student runs 8.8 km/h at 68min、3 times a week, which can achieve the minimum amount of public health.Conclusion:(1)Gender and body weight had significant influence on exercise and post-exercise energy consumption.(2)Male college students have more energy consumption and EPOC than femal.(3)According to the energy consumption recommendation table of this study, healthy college students can arrange exercise duration according to gender and weight. |
