Diaporthe belongs to the fungi Ascomycota,Sordariomycetes,Diaporthales,Diaporthaceae, and its asexuality was once included in Phomopsis. Is an important taxonomic unit of the Diaporthaceae, and is an important plant pathogen, endophyte and saprophyte. The host range is very wide, such as Rutaceae and Sumacaceae. The fungus of this genus can not only isolate several pathogenic bacteria from the same plant, but also isolate endophytic bacteria from healthy tissues of the same or different hosts, and isolate saprophytic bacteria from rotten plants.Phytopathogenic fungi of this genus can cause severe plant diseases including leaf spot, leaf blight, ulcer, blackspot, rot and other diseases, thereby reducing the production of a large number of cash crops, such as soybeans, fennel, apricot trees, grapes, and sunflowers,Avocado, etc. This study systematically carried out taxonomic research through the extensive collection of specimens in four provinces of China(Jiangsu,Yunnan,Anhui, and Shandong),using a combination of morphology and multigene phylogenetic analysis.More than 900 specimens were collected from the four provinces of Jiangsu,Yunnan,Anhui and Shandong in China, and more than 100 strains of the genus Mesoderma were isolated from diseased and healthy plant tissue samples.Morphological observation and molecular phylogenetic analysis of the isolated strains showed that more than 100 strains of the genus capsulorum fungi isolated in this study belonged to 16 species. For each species,a brief morphological description, the name and geographical distribution of the host and host, and a brief discussion of genus-level,species-level characteristics, and similar genera and species differences were discussed.Four new species, named and described as:D.clausenae Y.Pan,Z.Li&X.G Zhang,D.menglana Y.Pan,Z.Li&X.G.Zhang,D.teaense Y.Pan,Z.Li&X.G.Zhang,D.plantaginicola Y.Pan,Z.Li&X.G.Zhang.Seven known species:D.amygdali Udayanga,P.W.Crous&K.D.Hyde,D.hongkongensis R.R.Gomes,C.Glienke&P.W.Crous,D.melonis Beraha&M.J O’Brien,D.subclavata F.Huang,K.D.Hyde&H.Y.Li,D.tectonendophytica Doilom,Dissan.&K.D.Hyde,D.yunnanensis Y.H.Gao&L.Cai,D.velutina Y.H.Gao&L.Cai.Three uncertain species were named Diaporthe sp.1,Diaporthe sp.2,Diaporthe sp.3.According to the International Algae,Fungi and Plant Nomenclature, the description languge of fungal species is English or Latin. This article uses English to describe species. In addition, this study focused on investigating the relationship between the genus Mesoderma fungus and Camellia sinensis, which has important ecological and economic values, and has greatly enriched the species diversity of the genus Mesoa fungus. The model specimens and research specimens have been preserved in the Plant Pathology Herbarium(HSAUP)of Shandong Agricultural University. This study analyzed the phylogenetic relationship of the polygenes of the genus Capsidium, and the results showed that the internal transcription spacer(ITS),calmodulin(CAL),H3 histone(HISS),transcription elongation factor 1-α(TEF1),β-tubulin gene(TUB)and other genes have good intra-species stability and inter-species variability, and can be used as candidate genes for rapid molecular identification and DNA barcode of the genus Capsid.
