Study On The Improvement Of Neighborhood Relations In Urban Communities

With the development of urbanization,the original community neighborhood relationship was diluted,gradually breaking the traditional community relationship linked by blood relationship,replaced by the unknown neighborhood relationship,and the neighbors are very strange.As a result,the social support that urban community residents can obtain from the community is very weak,and the individual ability to resist social risks is also somewhat vulnerable.This paper takes G community in Wuhou District,Chengdu as an example,based on the " cohesive force undertaken by Chengdu X organization.Build a harmonious,build a beautiful community " project,conduct research on the problem of good-neighborly relations in urban communities,and try to solve this problem through professional methods of group work.After the author entered this project,he collected community data through community visits,research and other research methods such as interview and secondary data analysis.Finally,the social workers found that there were some problems in the community,such as neighborhood tension,prominent contradictions,great work pressure of community workers,low enthusiasm of community residents to participate in community affairs,lack of community belonging,and weak social support obtained by the community.To solve this problem,after friendly consultation with the community,the social worker decided to start forming a neighborhood improvement group as an entry point to improve the community neighborhood relations.In the research done in this article,social workers combined with the actual situation,completed the visit to the community,understand the needs of residents,and after the recruitment of group members.Under the guidance of social support theory,six group activities were designed from the perspectives of personal self-function and coping ability and the social support that can be provided in the personal social network.Through the development of group work,on the one hand,the group members' skills to improve the current situation of neighborhood relations among group members.On the other hand,the improvement of good-neighborly relations also to some extent builds a certain social network for the residents,so that the team members can better obtain social support in the community life,and increase the sense of community belonging of the team members,and cultivate a group of effective backbone to improve the neighborhood relations for the community.
