The study selected a guardianship-missing child who is fostered in an unrelated family as the research object,and explored the parent-child relationship of the foster family.By applying the theory and method of social work to intervene the parent-child relationship in the foster family,the study aims to explore the path of case work intervention mode on improving the parent-child relationship,and enrich the theory,method and practical experience of social work in family foster care work.Under the guidance of family system theory,the study comprehended parent-child interaction and family members’ communication mode,and thought about the internal connection between the mode and family problems.Combined with attachment theory,this study diagnosed the quality of parent-child attachment relationship and provided intervention guidance for the establishment of stable parent-child attachment.At first,the author collected research data through interviews,observations,questionnaires,and then understood this case status of parent-child relationship in the foster family from four dimensions of parent-child conflict,parent-child affinity,parent-child communication and parent-child attachment.The main problems are as follows: the potential psychological and behavioral problems of foster children,the poor quality of parent-child communication,the low degree of parent-child understanding and trust,and the unfirm parent-child attachment relationship.Based on family system theory and attachment theory,the causes of parent-child relationship problems in this case are as follows: the lack of stable identity and belonging sense to the foster family,the bad habits of the original family affect the acceptance of the new family,the lack of experience in the intimate relationship of the original family leads to the difficulty in establishing new parentchild attachment,the mismatch between the achievement motivation and the formed educational expectations of the foster family,the internal and external pressures of the foster family.In this case,from the original family to the foster family,the family system experienced a process of disconnect,convergence and substitution.The service object lost contact with the original family,and the foster family connected and replaced the former to play various family functions.The intervention practiced from both the individual and family levels,in order to repair the psychological and behavioral problems caused by the original family,and consolidate his sense of identity and attachment security to the foster family.At the family level,the study aimed to increase the positive two-way interaction and emotional communication,and improve the sensitivity of foster parents and the participation of family members.Then it tried to adjust the educational expectations of the foster family,and give play to the support function of the foster family.From the result evaluation,the questionnaires showed that the foster children’s sense of identity and security was improved,and parent-child interaction and emotional communication were enhanced.But the sensitivity of parents and the participation of family members still needed to be further improved.Finally,this study found that,due to the combined effect of the original family and foster family system,there are old hidden dangers and new problems during the growth of foster children.It is necessary to pay attention to the psychological and behavioral changes of foster children,and the establishment and development of parent-child relationship.Furthermore,parents and children in this unrelated foster care family face both internal and external social pressures,which require the concerted efforts of family members,the community and the government.Combined with the policy background,this study puts forward some suggestions from four aspects: policy,foster children,foster families and foster care institutions. |
