Poverty alleviation through education is an important means of poverty alleviation in China.The farmers and herdsmen,who live in poverty-stricken areas,were secondary vocational education to be able to skillfully master some working skills and join in the local economic construction,and eventually to get rid of poverty.Secondary vocational education,as an important part of basic education in our country,is also one of the important aspects of poverty alleviation through education.It has the characteristics of effective block,wide coverage and strong pertinence,and can enable the labor force in the region to master certain labor skills in a short time.Therefore,it is very effective to help the poor families out of poverty through secondary vocational education in the south region of Xinjiang.It also can help the poor to master basic labor skills,promote local economic development and improve the efficiency of poverty alleviation work in this area.Secondary vocational education institutions in the south region of Xinjiang seize the favorable opportunity of Xinjiang’s "counterpart support" policy,open their hearts to counterpart support provincial and municipal school experience and innovation,based on local economic situation,industrial advantages and local characteristics,and actively explore the way of combining enterprises in Xinjiang with local secondary vocational education.However,the development of secondary vocational education of the south region of Xinjiang is also facing some difficulties in the modern economic environment,for instance,Luopu County.There are many problems in carrying out poverty alleviation through education were mentioned in this paper,such as incoherence of policies,rigidity of secondary vocational education methods,unreasonable specialty settings and inadequate propaganda of Vocational education,which lead to prejudices of farmers and herdsmen,hinder the development of secondary vocational education in poor areas,and further affect the sustained deepening of poverty alleviation through education.In order to solve these problems effectively,the reasons were deeply analysed in this paper,such as the lack of overall guidance by government management departments,and autonomy in secondary vocational education schools,insufficient of education funds,backward talent training mode,low enthusiasm of enterprises in running schools,unreasonable specialty settings,insufficient support for school-enterprise cooperation,lack of information-based talents,and so on.In order to further improve the development of secondary vocational education in the south region of Xinjiang from the perspective of poverty alleviation through education,therefore,the following countermeasures were put forward:First,the relevant system of secondary vocational education should be improved,and optimized management to meet the needs of poverty alleviation through education,and improve the policy support and continuity of poverty alleviation through education.Secondly,the allocation of resources should be optimized,and flexibly arrange the number,structure and follow-up continuing education of teachers according to the local resources and economic development in the south region of Xinjiang,improve the investment guarantee mechanism for poverty alleviation in secondary vocational education,optimize the construction of poverty alleviation infrastructure in secondary vocational education,and actively promote the development of poverty alleviation in Secondary Vocational education schools.Third,the main body of running schools should be enrich and strive for support from all sectors of society.some policy should be established to give support in terms of access threshold,school location and later scientific research projects,relax the conditions for auditing,subsidize professional and part-time teachers engaged in practical skills teaching,establish and improve incentive policies and increase publicity,and deepen cooperation between enterprises and secondary vocational education.Fourth,a service platform for secondary vocational education should be build to promote the informationization process of poverty alleviation in secondary vocational education.Through these suggestions,the work of secondary vocational education and poverty alleviation through education could be promoted in the south region of Xinjiang,and it would make poverty alleviation through education to sustainable development,and make a contribution to local economic growth.
