Labor education is an important starting point to carry out the fundamental task of establishing morality and cultivating people,and to cultivate socialist builders and successors with all-round development of morality,intelligence,physical education,beauty and labor.In March 2020,the State Council issued the latest policy to make the overall deployment of labor education in primary,middle and primary schools.As the training of technical and skilled talents,higher vocational colleges should take labor education as an important content.They must adapt to the situation,keep pace with the times,and actively promote labor education.Strengthening labor education in higher vocational colleges is of great practical significance for promoting the combination of work and study,the unity of knowledge and practice,the combination of morality and technology,cultivating and carrying forward the spirit of craftsmen,creating a continuous stream of high-quality industrial troops,and promoting the construction of skill society.Based on the background of the new era,on the basis of combing the relevant research results of labor education in Higher Vocational Colleges at home and abroad,this paper defines the connotation of labor,labor education and labor education in higher vocational colleges,probes into the characteristics of labor education in Higher-Vocational Colleges in the new era,and traces the theoretical source of labor education in higher vocational colleges.Using the methods of questionnaire survey and in-depth interview,this paper investigates the practice of labor education in higher vocational colleges,and develops a questionnaire based on the theoretical dimensions of labor consciousness education,labor ability cultivation and labor practice training in higher vocational colleges.Based on the data,this paper analyzes the overall situation of labor education in Higher Vocational Colleges and the differences of three dimensions in demographic variables.This paper summarizes and analyzes the problems existing in the practice of labor education in Higher Vocational Colleges in the new era,and puts forward some countermeasures to strengthen labor education in Higher Vocational Colleges in the new era.The results show that there are still some problems in higher vocational colleges,such as imperfect labor education system,incomplete curriculum,imperfect evaluation system and so on.The main reasons are that the main role of higher vocational colleges is not fully played,the basic role of families is not solid,the social support is not enough and the subjective initiative of individuals is not enough.Combined with the characteristics of vocational education,from the four aspects of society,school,family and college students themselves,this paper puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to promote labor education:improving the labor education system of higher vocational colleges;To carry out the practice of labor education through multi-party cooperation;Improve the ability of labor education support and guarantee;Strengthen the organization and management of labor education;Strengthen policy support for labor education.
