Research On Predicaments And Optimal Strategies Of Professionalism Development Of Anti-drug Social Workers

In recent years,because of the great attention paid to social governance of drug problems,governments have introduced in succession the anti-drug social workers into the anti-drug management and control.As a type of social worker,the anti-drug social worker shares the obvious characters of the professional social worker,that is offering assistance to those who are receiving community-based drug treatment or rehabilitation,with professionalism,professional value and direct service,so as to use professional skills to help the service objects to go back to the right track of society and to create a good social atmosphere.In 2019,in our country there are 2.533 million people who abandoned drug habits for three years and have not relapsed yet,with a22.2 percent increase year-on-year,and the number of these people has maintained sustainable growth for many years,which means the anti-drug social work service is playing an effective role.With the growth of the anti-drug social worker group,the professionalism development of the anti-drug social workers becomes significant,but now it generally faces all kinds of difficulties.Therefore,I visited and investigated the drug control offices of Yue Z City and of its districts and towns,as well as many anti-drug social work administrations in the city,and made questionnaire investigations and in-depth individual interviews with the anti-drug social workers,the service objects and the related administrative staff,with the purpose of finding out the predicaments in the professionalism development of anti-drug social workers,analyzing the reasons behind them and putting forward countermeasures.As the investigation results reveal,the predicaments in the professionalism development of anti-drug social workers are mainly manifested as the swing of career orientation,the slow speed of professionalism development,the administration of benefit's evaluation,and the omission of industrial management.The main reasons are the in-equivalent communications between the government and the social workers,the conservative fiscal budget,the deviation of core values;the community responsibility system and the industrial involution of the social work administrations;the indeterminacy of definition of the duty of anti-drug social workers,the incompatibility between services and demands,the difficulties in evaluating the service effects;the difficulties in establishing a trust relationship with the service objects,and the physical and psychological defects of the service objects.Through reason analysis and with my work experience in anti-drug department,I propose with prudence the optimization strategies for the professionalism development of anti-drug social workers,including good interactions between the government and social workers,common constructions of the core values,clear definition of the career orientation and the duty of anti-drug social workers,constructions of a scientific evaluation mechanism,detailed division of work,set-up of professional problems research team,as well as common constructions of industry regulations.I hope that my research can provide a certain reference value to the professionalism development of the anti-drug social workers.
