Research On The Strategies To Improve The Professional Quality Of University Counselors

Since the 18 th Party Congress,in order to cultivate qualified builders and reliable successors for the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics,the Party Central Committee,with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core,has put the ideological and political work of colleges and universities in a prominent position and made a series of major plans on strengthening the ideological and political work of colleges and universities.Counselors are the backbone of the ideological and political education work of college students,shouldering the mission of establishing moral education,and their ability directly affects the quality of college talent training.Therefore,building a high-quality college counselor team is an important mission given by the new era.Based on the Marxist theory of all-round development of human beings and ideological and political education,this paper adopts such methods as literature review,dialectical analysis and interview to study the strategies to improve the professional quality of university counselors.Firstly,it defines the relevant concepts of university counselors' professional quality,summarizes the constituent elements of university counselors' professional quality,and further discusses the necessity of improving university counselors' professional quality.Secondly,it analyzes the main problems of university counselors' professional quality,that is,the deviation of professional consciousness,the low level of professional ethics,the inadequate professional ability,the unreasonable structure of professional knowledge and the unclear career vision.The main reasons are the influence of social environment,the lack of relevant rules and regulations,the lack of emphasis on the counselors' professional quality,and the lack of self-education of counselors.Finally,this paper puts forward the strategies to establish the cooperation among the country,society,school and college counselors from the four aspects of environment,system,mechanism and individual initiative.That is to create a good environment to improve the professional quality of university counselors,improve the relevant system to improve the professional quality of university counselors,optimize the working mechanism to improve the professional quality of college counselors and motivate the university counselors.
