| Children are the hope of society.The development of society requires us to pay more attention to and protect children.Although the child protection system is being actively improved,sexual safety problems caused by the lack of sexual education also occur from time to time,the growth of children is still facing great risks.Therefore,it is necessary and urgent to provide children with scientific sexual safety education.At the same time,the development of girls’ sexual safety education in rural areas is slower than that in urban.Thus,the exploration of rural girls’ sexual safety education has certain research value and practical significance.Through a group work on girls’ sexual safety education in H village of F town,this study aims to explore the following questions:Firstly,what is the attitude of parents and schools in H village towards the issue of girls’ sexual safety education?What specific educational actions have been taken?What is the implementation status of family’s and school’s sexual safety education?Secondly,how are the girls understand sex-related issues in H village?What are their needs when it comes to sexual safety education?Thirdly,how should the team apply relevant professional methods in the process of intervening in rural girls’ sexual education?What role does it play in promoting the implementation of sexual safety education for girls in rural areas?Empirical methods were used and data were collected through intervention studies.In the early stage,10 girls aged 10-12 and 5 teachers were randomly selected from the primary school of H village.The implementation status and demand of the sexual safety education for girls in H village were summarized from an interview.Then,on the basis of demand survey,a rural girls’ sexual safety education group was set up and five group activities were held for five weeks for 10 girls.Finally,through another interview with 10 girls,the effectiveness of girls’ sexual safety education group was evaluated.The study found that,firstly,the thrust factors in rural girls’ sex safety education mainly come from two aspects:parents’ and schools’ emphasis on girls’ safety,and schools’ recognition of girls’ sexual safety education.The resistance to the work mainly comes from three aspects:the relatively low level of knowledge of domestic sexual safety educators,the influence of imperfect communication skills and traditional concepts,the traditional curriculum pattern and teaching pressure faced by school authorities,and the limited resources in rural areas.Secondly,girls’ sexual safety education is faced with the dual needs of improving girls’ self-protection awareness and ability.Thirdly,the establishment of the girls’ sexual safety education group has had a direct and indirect positive impact on girls.The direct impact is reflected in two aspects:one is to promote girls’ grasp of basic knowledge of sexual safety;the other is to improve girls’ self-protection awareness and ability.The indirect influence is reflected in that group activities radiate the family sex safety education,promote the communication between family and school,and the interactive learning form also indirectly promotes the subjectivity status of girls in the issue of sexual safety education.Finally,the suggestions for the follow-up service are as follows:first,seek the whole-course cooperation of the school in the service,and take the opportunity to convert part of the teaching staff into professional safety educators;second,strengthen the individualized customization of school sexual education courses;third,to promote communication and exchange between schools and families;fourth,parents’ schools should be set up to emphasize the positive role of parents in sex safety education. |
