Wires and cables are the basic equipment for transmitting electric energy and information and they are widely used in various fields.With the transformation of manufacturing industry to highend,various industries have increasingly strict quality requirements for wires and cables,but at this stage,the domestic PTFE cable wire diameter control system still has the problems of backward automation level and insufficient wire diameter control accuracy.In view of this problem,this paper studies and designs the PTFE cable diameter control system from the aspects of optimization control algorithm and control system upgrade.The main research contents are as follows:(1)The PTFE cable production process,main production equipment and the main factors affecting the wire diameter control accuracy are analyzed.Referring to the relevant literature,the controlled object of the wire diameter control system is determined,and the mathematical model of the controlled object is established.After identifying the open-loop step response data collected at the extrusion site by using the system identification toolbox,the actual transfer function model of the controlled object is established.(2)The traditional PID algorithm has poor control effect in the wire diameter control system with nonlinear and large time delay characteristics,and cannot suppress the wire diameter fluctuation at the PTFE blank joint.Aiming at this problem,based on the PID algorithm,the Improved Bat Algorithm(IBA)and the Dynamic Matrix Control(DMC),this paper designs a cascade predictive control strategy that optimizes the PID parameters by the improved Bat Algorithm.(DMC-IBAPID).The hysteresis of the wire diameter control system is improved through the prediction characteristics of the DMC algorithm,and the robustness and tracking of the system are improved.The characteristics of the PID algorithm are used to quickly respond to random sudden interference,and the anti-interference characteristics and model mismatch of the DMC algorithm are improved.The IBA algorithm realizes the automatic tuning of PID parameters.Compared with PID control,IBA-PID control and DMC control in the simulation experiment,the results show that the DMCIBA-PID joint control strategy has the advantages of short adjustment time,small overshoot,strong anti-disturbance ability and robustness.(3)According to the PTFE cable insulation extrusion process and customer requirements,the overall design of the cable diameter automatic control system is completed by using the distributed design idea.Based on the overall design,the software and hardware design of the system is completed.The hardware part includes hardware selection and main circuit design.The software part includes PLC control program,upper computer monitoring system and touch screen operating system design.Using OPC(OLE for process control)technology,the communication between MATLAB and Kingview is established to realize the application of DMC-IBA-PID algorithm in online path automatic control system.The field data show that compared with other algorithms,DMC-IBA-PID algorithm can better suppress the wire diameter fluctuation at the PTFE blank joint,and the wire diameter control accuracy is relatively high,which has a certain practical significance.
