Research On The Development Strategy Of Virtual Idol Program From The Perspective Of Social Performance Theory ——Take “Dimensional Nova” As An Example

With the rapid development of digital media technology,the gradual expansion of the two-dimensional cultural circle,and the widespread prevalence of the fan economy,virtual idol programs emerge at the right moment.This paper selects the first domestic virtual idol program "Dimensional nova" as the research object.The author introduces the social performance theory,through case study and in-depth interview,and carries out participatory observation on the production of the program and the interaction of fans,and discusses the difficulties and development strategies of virtual idol programs.Because the virtual idol program is the first program type,when combing the relevant research,this paper focuses on the research on social performance and virtual idol.As far as the existing research is concerned,there is little research on the theory of social performance in the academic circles,and the research is mainly aimed at the social performance of specific roles in the image media,while there is no special observation on the theory of social performance for the virtual idol program,let alone the research involving depth and innovation.In the second chapter,this paper defines the concept of social performance theory and virtual idol.Firstly,it defines and divides the concept of social performance theory from three levels:origin and development,content composition and "re integration" of social performance.Secondly,according to the development stage of virtual idol,the development of virtual idol is divided into three stages: embryonic stage,development stage and mature stage.In the third chapter,based on Alexander's theoretical model of social performance,this paper analyzes and deconstructs the six basic elements of social performance in dimensional nova,and analyzes the difficulties faced by the development of virtual idol programs from the perspective of the above elements in the fourth chapter.The study found that the virtual idol program faces the following difficulties: the obstacles of circle barriers,the lack of text creation,the lack of performance resources,the lack of market awareness,the differences of aesthetic needs and the restrictions of production costs,as well as the production and control of power.In the fifth chapter,inspired by the theory of "re integration" of social performance,combined with the development dilemma presented in the fourth chapter,this paper puts forward the development strategy for the virtual idol program.This paper makes an in-depth exploration of virtual idol programs from three aspects: subject integration,text integration and audience integration.Firstly,in terms of the integration of virtual idol program subjects,this paper divides the subjects into three levels: production subject,performance subject and execution subject,and finds that the production subject should weigh the relationship between symbol production mode and social power;The integration of actor's self and role,self and ideal model is an important way to solve the lack of performance resources;The director should improve his control over the performance.Secondly,in terms of the text fusion of virtual idols,we need to realize the real fusion of script text and background image,and also the real fusion with the audience;The text should develop more synchronously with the performance action.Finally,in terms of audience integration,the transformation of audience identity and the establishment of shared space of 2.5-dimensional culture are important parts of the successful display of the program in the public vision.To sum up,from the perspective of social performance theory,this paper finds out the development dilemma of virtual idol programs through the analysis of the six elements of social performance.Then,inspired by the theory of "re-fuse" of social performance,this paper tries to solve the dilemma and put forward development strategies from three aspects: subject,text and audience.Facing the challenges and impacts brought by complex society and digital media,the road of breaking the circle of virtual idol programs has a long way to go.
