Traditional ancient books are not only precious documents and materials in China,but also an important representative of Chinese excellent traditional culture.They not only record history,but also have a profound impact on the present and future.With the continuous warming of Sinology fever in recent years,traditional cultural themes,especially ancient books,have become the themes published by major publishing institutions.As a very classic ancient book in China,the Classic of Mountains and Rivers still has high literary value and artistic charm in contemporary times.Nearly 1000 different versions have been published in the past decade,which has high competitiveness in the ancient book market.Especially under the background of media integration,the popular publication of the Classic of Mountains and Rivers presents diversified product types,three-dimensional reading experience and diversified marketing that not only meet the reading needs of readers at all levels,but also provide reference for the publishing and development of other ancient books.The popularization of ancient books published as the research object in this paper.Through literature and case studies,firstly,collect and sort out the literature to sort out the development process of the popular publishing of ancient books since the 1980s;Secondly,combined with the "Dangdang best seller list",open book data,National Library and other bibliographic data,this section examines the status quo of China's popular publishing market of ancient books from the aspects of publishing type,publishing subject,price strategy and product design;Then,taking the Classic of Mountains and Seas as a case,based on the relevant books and materials published by various publishing institutions in recent ten years,I select representative bibliographies to analyze the current situation and characteristics.On this basis,this section summarizes the shortcomings of Chinese ancient popular books,such as unclear positioning,homogeneous content and excessive entertainment.Finally,combined with the changes of technology and people's reading habits under the current internet background,I provide specific development directions and innovative strategies for the popularization of ancient books.On the basis of giving consideration to popularity and scholarship,China's excellent cultural classics can be truly developed by further excavating popular topics and making rational use of IP forms.Through this paper,I hope that more public can be nourished by traditional culture.
