Antenna is one of the key components of receiving and transmitting signals in communication system.It is important to design antenna with small size and excellent radiation performance,which is the key to realize the miniaturization of a communication system.Substrate Integrated Waveguide has the advantages of low loss,easy integration with microstrip circuits and small size,which is suitable for microwave and millimeter-wave circuits.When using magnetic dielectric material with relative permeability?r to design an antenna,the size of the antenna will be reduced by the ratio of??r,which compared to a dielectric antenna with the same permittivity.The miniaturization of the antenna can be realized by using magnetic dielectric materials.Combining the advantages of SIW and magneto-dielectric materials to design antennas is a research direction worth exploring.In this thesis,several antennas with excellent performance are designed using SIW technology.The main research results are as follows:1.A Half Mode Substrate Integrated Waveguide slot antenna operating at 3.5GHz is proposed.The metal columns cause perturbations in the electric field of the cavity,which is used for generating multi-mode resonance to expand the bandwidth of the antenna.The-10 d B bandwidth of the antenna is 3.34-3.62GHz,the gain is 4.1d Bi,which shows an excellent radiation performance.2.Two HMSIW slot antennas operating at 3.5GHz were designed using magnetic-dielectric materials.Compared with the dielectric antenna of the same structure,the size of the antenna was reduced by 28.9%and 35.1%.It is found that magneto-dielectric materials can effectively realize the miniaturization of the antenna.At the same time,magneto-dielectric materials will expand the bandwidth of the antenna.3.A dual-band HMSIW slot antenna operating at 3.5GHz and 4.9GHz is proposed,two HMSIW slot antennas are used to achieve dual-band.The-10 d B bandwidth of the antenna in 3.5 GHz is 3.46-3.68GHz,the gain is 3.9d Bi.The-10 d B bandwidth of the antenna in 4.9 GHz is 4.64-5.18GHz,the gain is 5.5d Bi.Compared with the traditional SIW dual-band antenna,the bandwidth of the antenna has been greatly improved.The proposed antenna has a simple structure and excellent radiation performance in both operating frequency bands,which is suitable for 5G mobile communication systems.
