Cyberpunk has become a hot topic in social media platforms in recent years.It is a subculture born in the 1980 s.With the development of social media,the “circle layered”communication mode has brought new development vigor for cyberpunk culture,and it has also completed the transition from subculture to post-subculture.The communication of cyberpunk culture through “circle” communication has caused a sudden increase in cultural audiences in a short period of time,which has labeled cyberpunk as “circle culture”.Emerging buzzwords such as “breaking the circle” and“out of the circle” are frequently used,and “circle layered” communication seems to have become the most effective and fast way for information dissemination.Although the word “circle-layer” often appears in the public eye,and some scholars try to conduct related research in academia,the generally recognized conceptual results are relatively scarce,and the formation process of “circle layer” is rarely mentioned.The practice of communication still lacks theoretical guidance,and negative communication phenomena are also common.Therefore,building a systematic “circle layered”communication mechanism model plays an important role in cultural development.Taking social media as the background,exploring the influencing factors and mechanisms of the "circle" communication of cyberpunk culture is conducive to explaining the development of "circle culture".This research based on concepts related to communication,sociology and postsubculture,using grounded theory and text analysis as research methods,according to the two research paths of “circle” formation and “circle boundary” communication,using Python to analyze two cultural products of cyberpunk,the movie “Ghost in the Shell” and the game “Cyberpunk 2077” were collected from user comments on Bilibili and Weibo,and a total of more than 1.33 million words of comment text content were obtained.The obtained comment data were sampled and analyzed.Through text analysis one by one,2,344 valid comments with a total of more than 180,000 words were obtained.The Nvivo software was used to openly code these comments to obtain the primary categories of factors affecting the “circle” formation of cyberpunk culture,and then use inductive thinking to carry out the main categories.The formula coding further summarizes the primary categories into main categories and sub-categories,and extracts three main categories of product experience,audience interaction and cultural understanding that affect the formation process of “circle”,and four main categories of product features,product experience,product marketing and audience interaction that affect the process of “circle boundary” communication.Through selective coding,the complete story line is obtained and the theoretical saturation is verified,and the influencing factors of the “circle” communication of cyberpunk culture are obtained,and then the cultural “circle” communication is summarized.According to the research results,I try to explain the problems that will arise in the communication of “circle culture” and analyze what new changes have been brought about by the “circle layered”of communication in social media.The research of this paper consists of five parts: the first part introduction mainly expounds the research background,research significance,research ideas,literature review,and explains research methods,research problems,research innovations and difficulties.The second part explains the reasons for the popularity of cyberpunk culture and the development of related theories of “circle”,and constructs an analytical framework for cyberpunk culture “circle” communication based on existing theories.The third part is the implementation of grounded theory,through the coding of relevant texts to obtain the influencing factors of cyberpunk culture “circle” communication.The fourth part summarizes the mechanism of the “circle” communication of cyberpunk culture based on the results of the grounded theory.This research divides the “circle”communication of cyberpunk culture into two processes: “circle” construction and“circle boundary” communication,through the separation of social capital and the cultural exchange of “new tribes” to explain the process of “circle” communication of cyberpunk culture,and to think about the communication and development of “circle culture”.The fifth part is an analysis of the new changes in social media due to “circle layered” communication,explaining that “circle” communication has become a new social media communication from three aspects: the development of media technology,the change of subculture and the birth of new marketing models.The reasons are expected to have guiding significance for the practical application of cultural communication and “circle” communication.
