With the development of 5G technology,the problems in millimeter wave such as strong mutual coupling and high dielectric loss have brought great challenges to the novel antenna design.In recent years,the metamaterial has been gradually introduced to the antenna design,bringing new ideas and orientations for the millimeter-wave antenna design.Gap waveguide is one of the products combining metamaterials and traditional waveguide,applied extensively in millimeter-wave antenna for its low-loss property.Millimeter-wave antennas combining various features of metamaterials and based on the gap waveguide are investigated and designed in this dissertation,with the content summarized below:(1)A type of millimeter-wave wideband leaky-wave antenna with fixed beam is designed based on gap waveguide technology.The metallic metamaterial equivalent prism customized according to the Snell's law is loaded to the radiation side of the gap waveguide leaky-wave antenna,realizing the stable radiation beam angle of the integrated antenna in the broad frequency band.The design,suppressing the beam-quint phenomenon of the traditional leaky-wave antenna,enables it to be applied in the millimeter-wave wideband design and the fixed-beam bandwidth is further broadened by optimizing the structure of prism.(2)A type of magneto-electric dipole antenna array is designed based on the inverted microstrip line gap waveguide.The overall antenna is compatible with the traditional printed circuit board technique based on it maintaining the low-loss property of gap waveguide meanwhile.The antenna elements are arrayed and different feeding network are designed to realize the beam deflection of antenna array.Backward radiation of feeding network is reduced and the front-back ratio is increased in this format of transmission line.(3)A type of circularly polarized 1-bit coding antenna is designed based on the inverted microstrip line gap waveguide.A circularly polarized magneto-electric dipole antenna is put forward based on the above design and the introduced PIN diodes enable it to obtain two working states,whose phase difference is 180 degree,by switching the on-off state of them.The simulated results indicate that the arrayed antenna can adjust the radiation beam in real time by changing the coding state,possessing extremely high application value.
