With the development of augmented reality technology and the popularity of smart phones,the mobile-based augmented reality applications show broad development prospect,and the research of mobile augmented reality is deepened further and further.The development of Augmented Reality has long been driven by technology.The users' knowledge and experience about augmented reality are generally scarce,and it is hard to express clearly the interactive preferences and expectations of mobile augmented reality applications,which causes the difficulties for the user-centered design approach in the mobile augmented reality application design practice.In this paper,we designed the mobile augmented reality shopping application under the supermarket scene with the user experience design method based on the user's mental model.Firstly,author analyzed the user experience design method based on mental model.User mental model is divided into two forms of macro and micro,reflecting the user's needs,cognitive structure and interaction preferences.This paper established the mapping model between the user mental model and the user experience design task,and constructed and analyzed the user mental model as the design reference of the information architecture,physical interaction,interface and visual presentation.Next the paper conducted the user task analysis and requirements collection through the user observation,participatory design and other experimental methods,determined the functional requirements of products and then finished the rapid prototyping.Through repeated user testing and iterative development throughout the product design process,the application was continually approaching the user's intended user experience.At the same time,this paper explored the design space of mobile augmented reality application in the aspects of interface morphology and physical interaction,etc.,according to the characteristics of mobile augmented reality equipment and interaction,and designed the hybrid interfaces and corresponding interactive operation,which Enriched the interaction and improved the interactive experience.The usability test of the application prototype showed that the application prototype enriches the user experience in the supermarket shopping scene,which helps the user to perceive the information.The work in this paper is of reference significance for the design and development of mobile augmented reality applications,which is of academic value and broad application prospect.
