With the rapid development of mobile Internet technology and smart devices,the use of enterprise social media at work has become increasingly common.While promoting employee cooperation and knowledge sharing,it also produced a series of negative consequences,such as technostress and emotional exhaustion.Considering the practical pertinence and the research relevance,this study adopted Transactional Theory of Stress and Coping and peopleenvironmental fit theory to explore the technology overload driven by technology intrusiveness characteristic and user's fear of missing out affect employee's emotional exhaustion.According to the data received from 330 users of enterprise social media,this study empirically tested the proposed model.The empirical research shows that presenteeism,anonymity,relational exclusion,informational exclusion have positive effect on technology overload,which positively impacts emotional exhaustion. |
