A Study On The Discourse Of The Hosts Of The China Central Radio And Television Network Spring Festival Gala From The Perspective Of Communication Rituals (2011-2020)

With the popularity of the Internet and the strong cooperation among the media,there has been an online gala,which has brought a new experience to the national audience,especially the netizens.Among them,CCTV online Spring Festival Gala has attracted a large number of attentions and participation of the audience by making full use of the nature attribute of Internet and depending on the high technology with the features of rich resources,various forms and immediate interaction,which has been gradually pushed forward to normalization.From the perspective of the ritual view of communication,this thesis aims to realize the lateral interpretation on the discourse communication for CCTV online Spring Festival Gala by carrying out the research on discourse analysis of the hosts of CCTV online Spring Festival Gala.As a kind of ceremony,the gala is a carrier of communication.Although its final effect points to the coagulation of audience and social unity,it will convey different values and cultures for relying on different carriers.Meanwhile,the discourse role,discursive formation and features of hosts will become different,too.In the first chapter,this thesis has started the discussion from the birth of CCTV online Spring Festival Gala,as well as the selection and appointment of the hosts,and then it has summarized the characteristics of CCTV online Spring Festival Gala and the types of hosts in the whole,which has made a preliminary preparation for the positioning of the discourse role of host for CCTV online Spring Festival Gala in the second chapter.Then,it continues to specify the positioning of the discourse role of host from the perspective of society and cultural contexts,and make a summary for the specific role attributes of the host of CCTV online Spring Festival Gala in the second chapter.After having a clear understanding of discourse context and discourse role,it starts to focus on the discussion for a series of elements of discourse formation in the third chapter,and it summarizes that there are four layers for discourse formation,including the sign of text language,the sign of spoken language,the sign of body language and other visual but nonverbal signs.Then,it analyzes and sorts out them one by one.In the fourth chapter,it sums up the discourse features of the hosts of CCTV online Spring Festival Gala,namely,the carnivalesque of grass-rooted culture,the interaction of the participation of all the people,lucid and lively speech rate on the gala and getting rid of the polite formula in hosts' discourse,which aims to find out the discourse strategies of CCTV online Spring Festival Gala from the discourse features of hosts in the fifth chapter.In addition,it analyzes the reasons and trends of the host's discourse evolution of CCTV online Spring Festival Gala in the past ten years,as well as its dialectical relationship with the discourse evolution of host of CCTV traditional Spring Festival Gala on TV.Finally,it makes a summary with prospect for the crisis and opportunity of the host under the context of new media.
