The CAPP system connects the design and manufacturing end of the product and provides data support in the upstream and downstream systems,but the current CAPP system is not convenient in data transfer and transmission.With the advent of MBD,parameterization of MBD to provide data support for the CAPP system.Firstly,this paper introduces and analyzes the topic selection background,significance,development course and direction of CAPP system.For the complex representation of 3D model features,the 3D CAPP,based on MBD technology improves the data transmission efficiency between CAD?CAPP?CAM systems and accelerates the preparation efficiency of process documents.Secondly,the framework and functions of the 3D CAPP system are summarized.For the process design process,the file information can only be stored in the user local,which is not conducive to information summary,sorting,storage,sharing,etc.Combined with network technology and database technology,the interface Web Server,for data interactio n is designed to realize model acquisition and process file storage,and briefly describes the application process of the system.Then,express the model information,processing method,processing equipment,conduct information acquisition based on the binary tree structure,infer and select the characteristic processing methods based on the decision tree algorithm,and infer the processing resources based on the knowledge base case matching.Next,in terms of feature recognition,an adjacency matrix is introduced for feature matching.In terms of feature parameter extraction,the feature recognition function is customized with the interface pro vided by the NX platform.Cross-platform model feature parameter is extracted with STEP neutral file;in additio n,the extracted feature data is transmitted to the process library in XML data format for reasoning and selection of processing methods and processing resources.Finally,this paper develops the 3D CAPP system on the NX11 platform,combines the classical axis type model,briefly summarizes the recognition principle and identification process,and uses the output of the 3D CAPP to verify the effectiveness of the 3 D process system.
