Virtual prototype technology plays an important role in modern productdevelopment, but in the design,simulation,optimization of the product by using virtualprototype technology, consistent expression of product information is a big problemwhich plagues rapid development of the product, especially to do the finite elementanalysis for design object will produce a large amount of data which will beexchanged between the different finite element software,finite element pre-processing andpost-processing software. At present, the way of point to point for data exchange is mainlyused, but it has a lot of disadvantages, due to the wide use of STEP standard, establishingthe finite element information model based on STEP standard will become the key to solveconsistent expression of such data and data exchange.The paper studies EXPRESS description language,the209part (composite materialsand metal structure analysis and Design) and the104part (finite element analysis) etc, anduses EXPRESS and EXPRESS-G language descripe the finite element information modelwhich is specifically implemented by ROSE library.The main contents of the paperare follows:1.On the basis of information modeling methods-EXPRESS language, the paper buildsthe finite element information model based on STEP standard, this model specificallyincludes the global information description,the inherent parameter informationdescription,the discrete information description, the analysis control informationdescription and analysis result information description and realizes standardized expressionfor the finite element information model.2.On the basis of the finite element information model, finite element informationmodeling system is developed with the use of ROSE library and MFC library,and achievesto read the neutral file, generate the neutral file,display entity attribute,modify entityattributes,read attribute value in the database,update table recordes in the database,increasetable recordes in the database etc, and it completes specific data implementation of finiteelement information model.3.Finite element information model of the spindle of PCM160hammer crusher isestablished, and the paper initially completes the formation of neutral file of the spindle and completes the display of spindle grid by establishing interface betweenANSYS and finite element information modeling system.
