Research On PUGC Mode Of The Paper

With the continuous development of technologies such as 5G,big data,and artificial intelligence,General Secretary Xi Jinping put forward the concept of"Four All"media for the first time in the 12^th collective study of the Central Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China,and pointed out that the construction of an omni-media communication pattern and the in-depth development in the promotion of media integration are the urgent issues that the domestic new media is facing.The advent of an omni-media era has prompted the domestic news media to accelerate the pace of integration.As the first domestic news and information platform which has completed the transformation of traditional media to new media,the Paper has grasped the general trend of the development of omni-media.While focusing on its original information,such as,current affairs investigations and cutting-edge thinking analysis,it has also built an open platform"The Paper"and a user interactive community"Pengyou Circle",and so on,and invited high-quality social information disseminators to join the platforms.The Paper emphasize that serious and rigorous reporting styles should run through every link of aggregation,compilation,review,and release of the high-quality social information to ensure that the information content is professional and public.Therefore,a unique omni-media PUGC（Professional User Generated Content,hereinafter referred to as PUGC）mode is formed,which has attracted the attention of academia and the industry and is worthy of attention and research.In today’s noisy Internet public opinion field,the Paper continues the fine tradition of“content is the priority”of its predecessor Oriental Morning Post,and pays attention to inviting every high-quality information disseminator to release the information,and comprehensively uses H5,live broadcast,visual data analysis and other new omni-media information presentation methods to help optimize the effect of information dissemination,which greatly strengthens the credibility and influence of the Paper in public.Based on the author’s internship experience in the Paper,this study conducted a one-year participatory observation of the omni-media PUGC model of the Paper and conducted in-depth interviews with its relevant staff.Combining with the current development status in the collection,compilation,review,and distribution of information by domestic news media,this paper analyses the existing characteristics,situation,problems and future development of the omni-media PUGC model of the Paper for further discussion.
