With the increasing integration of phased array antenna,the heat dissipation problem caused by high heat flux and narrow heat dissipation space is becoming increasingly prominent.At present,the active phased array antenna mainly uses the liquid cooling system for heat dissipation.The design of the liquid cooling system focuses on three aspects: first,controlling the maximum temperature of the heating element to avoid the burning of the element;The second is to keep the temperature of the chip in the T / R module consistent to ensure the overall electrical performance of the antenna;The third is to meet the structural constraints of the antenna.The topology optimization method can change the topological relationship of the channel structure according to the heat source distribution and structural constraints of the antenna system,which is one of the most promising technologies to improve the heat dissipation capacity of the liquid cooling system of the active phased array antenna,How to use topology optimization method to design runner structure is an important practical problem.In this paper,the cooling requirements and structural constraints of phased array antenna are taken as the object,and the cold plate design method based on topology optimization is studied.The specific research work is as follows:(1)Based on the density method,the topology optimization model of convective heat transfer in complex design domain is established.Aiming at the problem of liquid cooling and heat dissipation of phased array,a two-dimensional model is established according to the structural constraints and heat source distribution of the antenna,and the processing method of structural constraints is studied.The topology optimization design process of cold plate for phased array antenna is proposed.The influence of heat transfer coefficient on the optimization result is studied by a simplified example.The results show that the initial solution has a great influence on the optimization result;The flow channel structure is optimized by a phased array cold plate design example,and the effectiveness of the method is verified by finite element simulation.(2)A topology optimization method of cold plate based on series expansion of material field is proposed.Aiming at the problem of too many variables in the traditional density topology optimization method,the material field in the design domain is expressed as a linear combination of deterministic eigenvectors and a small number of undetermined coefficients based on the reduced order series expansion method.By combining the material field with the density method,the number of design variables is greatly reduced,and the optimization degree of freedom of the proposed method is close to that of the traditional density method.Taking the example in the second chapter as the test object,the results show that similar optimization results can be obtained when the design variables are reduced from 10438 to 310,which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method.(3)The cold plate channel structure of a high density active phased array antenna prototype is optimized by the proposed method.The optimized channel is compared with the traditional branch channel by finite element simulation.The results show that the temperature standard deviation of the optimized amplifier chip is reduced from 7.02 ? to3.25 ? and 3.72 ? respectively,and the temperature standard deviation of the multifunctional chip is reduced from 6.98 ? to 3.06 ? and 3.6 ? respectively.Taking the traditional density method to optimize the flow channel as the object,the cold plate sample was processed by metal 3D printing technology,and the experimental test was carried out.The experimental results show that the maximum temperature error of the heat source on the surface of the cold plate is 5.92%,which shows that the simulation results are highly consistent with the experimental results.(4)Based on the proposed cold plate topology optimization design process,a set of cold plate topology optimization design software for phased array antenna is developed by using C + + Builder and MATLAB software,which makes the method better applied to engineering design.
