The commercial use of 5G(Fifth-Generation Mobile Communications)networks is gradually expanding,and 4G networks will co-exist with 5G for a long time.In the meanwhile,the resources of the base station site are exhausted under the condition of long-term expansion.For this reason,it has become a national strategic plan to integrate the antennas of 4G and 5G base stations and realize joint construction and sharing.In view of this background,this paper studies the 4G and 5G dual-band shared base station antenna,which has practical significance.Start with the demand of network application,this paper studies and designs the dual-band coaxial embedded scheme array of die-casting and PCB antenna radiation units respectively.1.This paper firstly refers to the mature experience of 2G/3G/4G die-casting nested dualfrequency dual-polarization antenna array,expands 5G for the first time to the high frequency band of 3.3-3.8GHz for application,and designs a bowl die-casting antenna unit for nested 5G units in the 1.71-2.17 GHz low frequency band of 4G after spectrum replowing.During the design process,the coupling effect between the two frequencies and the sensitive dimensional tolerance characteristics brought by higher frequency bands will be fully considered.Through tolerance simulation,a dual-band nested antenna array with stable performance will be obtained,and the electrically adjusted dip angles of 2°-12° and 0°-10° will be realized in the high and low frequency bands respectively.Compared with the common base station antenna,the designed dual-band base station antenna meets the requirements of engineering performance,in the meanwhile,it reduces the size of the antenna,which effectively improves the utilization rate of the tower surface resources.The designed antenna has been mass-produced and used in the network,and has commercial value.2.In view of the disadvantages of heavy weight and high cost of die-casting mold unit,this paper will further discuss the use of integrated dual-frequency and dual-polarization antenna unit in the form of PCB as an alternative.It is proposed to fuse high and low frequency Barron on a PCB medium board to realize the integration of high and low frequency bands.It is further proposed to bend the end of the low-frequency radiation arm by 90°,and design the adjacent orthogonal polarization radiation arm to participate in the coupling optimization,and finally achieve the antenna miniaturization under the condition of basically equivalent electrical performance.The PCB antenna unit achieves the lightweight while saving the cost,and has more advantages in 4G and 5G dual-band antenna applications compared to the die-cast antenna unit.
