Time Sensitive Networking data transmission delay is affected by many network factors,so it shows remarkable dynamic characteristics.In order to optimize the design of flow scheduling strategy and satisfy the communication requirements of time sensitive applications to the maximum extent,it is necessary to comprehensively study the delay characteristics by using effective simulation methods.In this paper,three flow control mechanisms of time sensitive networking are simulated,including time aware shaper,frame preemption and the combination of the two mechanisms.The research results have reference value for time sensitive network ing delay characteristics research and flow control strategy optimization design.The main research contents and results of this paper are as follows.First of all,this paper analyzes the working principle of the time sensitive networking flow control mechanism,analyzes the time-sensitive networking delay influencing factors,and defines the basic objectives of the simulation research of time sensitive characteristics.Then,the communication delay predictability measure is analyzed,and the time sensitive networking delay model and communication delay predictability model are designed.Next,the technical characteristics of different network simulation methods are compared and simulation tools are selected.Then,the required modules of the main flow control mechanism and the simulation algorithms of each mechanism are designed.Finally,the simulation results of time sensitive networking delay are analyzed according to the application scenarios of main traffic control mechanisms,and the time predictability measure is used to analyze the time sensitive networking delay more comprehensively.Aiming at the functional requirements of time sensitive networking delay characteristic simulation,this paper proposes a time sensitive networking delay characteristic simulation method based on MATLAB/Simulink toolbox.MATLAB/Simulink supports a variety of data link layer simulation c ontrols,which can provide users with custom modeling tools and a high degree of flexibility.At the same time,it can also make full use of the powerful programming capabilities of MATLAB to improve simulation performance.The feasibility and correctness of the method are verified by a numerical example.Through the simulation of time delay and the analysis of time predictability,the results show that the main flow control mechanisms can make the critical flow deterministic transmission,and make the best use of the transmission bandwidth to ensure the effective transmission of non critical flow.
